Hage has an assist so far, Michigan down 2-1 halfway through the 2nd.
*** Shit, now it's disappeared...
It’s still there. The USCHO site still has it and Michigan hockey twitter still hasn’t indicated that the goal or assist has been taken away.

Hage has an assist so far, Michigan down 2-1 halfway through the 2nd.

He passed it directly to the goal scorer but now he might be injured, took a big hit and stayed down a bit, we'll see if he returns. It's 2-2 mid 3rd and almost a must win for Michigan since it's a conference game.

Assist 4:59
Possible Injury 8:50

He finished the game but he did last time and then the next week he was out of the lineup so we should hear something before they play Notre Dame on Friday and former Hab pick Blake Biondi (no vids of the games since Notre Dame has a deal to stream their games on peacock, they don't allow usage of their streams or at least they didn't last year, and made me take them down)

Game was boring as shit for much of the game but kudos to Michigan on getting the big win in OT.

Prospects in action today (Jan. 7th):

- Volokhin @ 9AM ET (we'll if he starts. He came in relief last game and put up a .957 SV% in 33 minutes)
- Gordin @ 9AM ET
- Kapanen vs. Eriksson @ 1PM ET
- Rohrer @ 1:45PM ET

*Skelleftea playing @ 1PM ET. We'll see if Bergqvist is back in the line-up after the WJC*

- Thorpe @ 10PM ET

- Sawyer @ 7PM ET

if you want to see the lone goal he gave up, didn't get to see all the game but he had his likely best start in the KHL stopping 29 of 30 last I checked

Volokhin with 29 saves on 30 SOG for a .967 SV%. It's so good to see him put up real good stats in the KHL.

Khanin had 0 pts and 1 SOG. But the key part in his game is that he played just under 7 minutes, which is by far his most TOI in the KHL. That's a lot when you consider that the 3 other games he got on the ice for, he tallied less than 2 minutes each time.

He had more TOI in today's game then he's had in his KHL career total. He looked small and weak though.

No. He has yet to win a game. They lost 2-0 today. But 1 of the 2 goals was an empty netter. But, he's still doing well regardless. In 6 out of the 11 games he's played, he had a SV% above .900.

His SV% the last 6 games:

.938
.939
.925
.881
.957
.967
Crazy numbers. The gaudy numbers last year needed a pinch of salt because he was in the MHL but to make that leap to the K and still put up some crazy %s is hugely impressive.

It’s crazy that Fowler could be our 3rd best goalie prospect lolol.

O points for Thorpe. Mazden Leslie had a goal (potential late round drafted pick/camp invite)

Cameron Schmidt, draft eligible this year had 1g 1a

As mentioned, Sawyer had 1 assist and 6 shots.

Filip Eriksson who entered today with just 4 pts in 31 games, had 2 assists for his 1st multi-point game of the season in the SHL (he had 2 pts in a Champions league gm). Watched him against Kapanen the other day and he works hard with good speed but we'll see if he can get going a bit in the 2nd half and look to have a bigger year next season.

For the goalies out there, what would you say about the goal Galchenyuk scored on Volokhin, would you call that a bad goal to give up because it leaked through? I need to watch it in slow mo cause when it was live I couldn't believe how it went in as it looked like he was in correct position to stop it.

Its a bad goal and he's got caught on a few of these at the VHL/KHL level. He's in the RVH but he has his glove outside of the post, so Galchenyuk banks it off the back of his glove and it trickles in. His glove should be sealing the inside of the post as there's nothing good that can happen from overlapping the post with the puck behind the net.

I've seen another goal where he was leaned forward and had it go off his back in a similar angle.

That's just something he has to clean up because lower levels people aren't gonna do that very often but elite shooters will notice that and exploit it. Fortunately that's just a technical thing to clean up and not something that he's getting beat on because he was tracking it and just got beat for a cheap goal.
