2024-25 Prospect Thread

Can’t wait. I still can’t see Denver losing to anyone but you never know.

Just wanna see BU get to the final...

Denver has indeed looked pretty unbeatable.

Keep your eyes on Boston Buckberger. He's a 21-year old Dman and has never been drafted. But after putting up 27 points in his freshman season, now he has 30. And a +32.

Gotta think a club will be looking to add him, maybe even as soon as this summer.

Carter King is the other free agent who'll be worth watching, although I'm still thinking he's more likely to join an AHL club.

What's the story on Quinn Hutson? NHL upside or no?

I'd certainly like to see the Islanders be the team that gets to find out.

He's got the bloodlines. He's got the stats (seriously, after 73 points in his final USHL season, he's had 28, 36, and now 50 in his 3 college seasons). He's got the leadership (assistant captain).

The guy he reminds me of perhaps the most, at least in how this season has gone for him at the same stage, is Zach Hyman. He's a little smaller (like, of course, he's a Hutson). But there are a lot of smart little plays combined with a Johnny-on-the-spot aspect while not really having skill traits that stick out all that much. Everything seems solid enough but not more than that - although I've seen him release a few wicked wristers. He's a shooter.

But he's always in the thick of things. Can cycle and make little back-n-forth passign plays. And is cunning around the net.

At the end of the day, he seems to be more than the sum of his parts.

Someone is signing him - likely next week.

He will probably sign with the Caps to play with his brother.

Mildly shocked Denver is in OT against western Michigan right now. Western Michigan is doubling them in shots.

Good game.

Didn’t see much out of Eiserman besides the goal. His play didn’t scream top line forward to me. Perhaps a middle six player with power play time.

Hutson will likely sign with a team heading to the playoffs.

Recently in the Tournament Pandolfo put him with Bednariks line to try and get that line more offense. Cole leads a national championship team in goals as a true freshman. He’s also one of the youngest players in all of college. That’s impressive as hell.

Personally, I don’t love the way pandolfo rolls his lines but it works for them. It’s Trotz esque in that he really plays them all in all situations and pretty evenly give or take certain came situations.
