2024-25 Prospect Thread

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

What’s up with Ritchie? Slumping for some time now

Christ, now we're day trading our prospects . . . like every kid has a smooth Bell Curve in their production.
@SRBisles, how dare you ask a relevant question about our top prospect in the Prospects thread.

As penance, you must enter the Marc Gatcomb appreciation thread and write a complimentary post.

It's actually a thing.

He is 1-5-6 and -3 in his past 10 games. His team has won 6 of those 10 games and one of the losses was in OT.

This is his DY+2 and his 15 goals (albeit in 44 games) has him on pace to get fewer than his career low of 19 in his DY-1 (granted, in 65 games).

He had 30 points in 22 playoff games last season, so maybe he'll turn things on when the money is on the line.

He's still 3rd in scoring on his team and linemate Colby Barlow "only" has 57 points in 59 games, which is quite different from the previous two seasons.

He was scratched the other day- lingering injury perhaps?

BU getting destroyed by UCONN in the Hockey East semifinals. UCONN is skating circles around them and has been the better team all game.

4-1 15min remaining in game.

Eiserman just missed a PP goal on a one timer. Goalie made an unreal save but if Eiserman got the shot elevated it would have been a goal.

Bednarik playing decent. Been real physical which is nice to see. But overall BU looks horrible. Really hanging Yegorov out to dry too.

Sounds like an option as a big 4th line C who wins a lot of faceoffs.

CC fan here. Not sure what happened to his offensive game this season, as he was much better last season. But to be fair the whole team had a disappointing season and just couldn’t score.

I think a 4C is a possibility for Gleb, definitely uses his big frame well and is solid defensively. Hope he works out for you guys if he does sign.

He will probably be better than Casey and MacLean.

Let's see what he can do in BPort first.

Both Casey and MacLean had 60-point seasons in the OHL and then put up some decent numbers in Bridgeport. Heck, Cizikas had 66 points in 86 career AHL games.

Veremyev didn't even hit 10 goals in what was his junior season.

I know this team signed him hoping he could be a Trent Frederic type when all is said and done. And let's hope he is.

But there are much more promising college, European, and CHL free agents this spring.

It is nice to have a big guy who can fight in the system though.

Not expecting any scoring. 4th line grinder that is tough and very physical who excels at faceoffs. Casey is done and MacLean wouldn't even make San Jose line-up.
