Prospect Info: 2024-25 Prospect Thread

Devils 2nd round pick last year Goalie Yegorov looks insanely legit. 6’5 195 18 years old and he’s standing on his head. 43 saves so far and 1 GA.

Bednarik noticeable all game for all the right reasons with great defensive play and some offensive chances but Eiserman just doing his thing. Not flashy but goals.
Love the game Bednarik plays. He’s had such a good game.

Bednarik has such good stick work defensively.

Empty net goal 4-1 BU with 1:43 left.

From this angle you can see his quickness and hand eye coordination knocking the puck down in mid air. That was sick. Quick reaction time.

Love your new avatar, SI90. I couldn't tell what a single song was about. I think one was a love song. If so, that explains why there are so many INCELS today.

Would love if Bednarik could end up as a Phillip Danault type center.

Pandolfo having Bednarik against the best line in college hockey all night and in key defense situations speaks volumes.
I saw the BU game at Yale in December and in that game Bednarik was barely noticeable. What a difference last night. I like players who show up for the big games. Kudos Kamil.

That’s why having a lethal goal scorer is huge. They can show up and affect the game any shift!!!
People aren't going to like this, but you know who they used to say that about? And about who there were skating questions and ability to play a 200 foot game? Tavares. Like it or not, Eiserman actually kind of reminds me of him in some ways. Eiserman has a much better shot/release. And not the emotion part.

I see your point about the ability to put up offense at any given moment but their games and skills are completely different. But if Eiserman becomes a consistent 30+ goal scorer PPG guy like Tavares I won’t complain at all.

IDK. My recollection when Tavares was coming up was that he was a great point producer but there were skating questions and also questions about whether he was effective in any way other than around the opposition net. It was "you don't see him all game, and then he puts up a couple of points". He developed the other areas (all-around stuff) later, in the NHL. And agree that Tavares got his points from the slot, not shooting from further out.

But yeah, agreed about being ok with Eiserman turning into a guy like Tavares.

Your recollection is correct, but I'd say Eiserman is a better skater and has better shooting skill overall. Everyone knows by now, he can shoot it any way you want it and his snapper, wrister, slapper, on the move, standing still, from a bad angle, good angle, far out... close, doesn't matter, his ability to score is elite, period.

With that said, JT had hockey sense and that was his biggest strength and the one thing I'd say he clearly had over Eiserman.
