Bednarik too. He reminds me of Danny Nelson last year. They used him in a defensive role. Thought they’d look to do the same potentially with a guy like Bednarik.Hagens tops United States 2025 World Junior selection camp roster | NHL.com

Eiserman and Nelson WJC US roster - sad to see Finley not get an invite.

That's the thing, though. Nelson has 4C locked up.Bednarik too. He reminds me of Danny Nelson last year. They used him in a defensive role. Thought they’d look to do the same potentially with a guy like Bednarik.
Possibly, but as a returnee he may have a larger role. Also, I wasn’t saying he should be on the team but at least a camp inviteThat's the thing, though. Nelson has 4C locked up.
Veilleux flipped from Harvard to Cornell
Veilleux flipped from Harvard to Cornell
From the outhouse to the bucket in the field . . .
Very interesting, even if uninspiring - at first.
Cornell is currently ranked 14th in the country. Harvard isn't in the top 20.
Hmmmm.
Of course, Cornell only has a record of 5-3-3. Ohio State is right behind them with a record of 11-5-1.
So, there's that...
I had been seeing and hearing that Cornell has been a bit of an inside tip as an intense under-the-radar developmental location for hockey in recent years.
So, maybe them wanting him enough to get him to transfer away from Harvard is a good indication of what folks should expect from him down the line?
Eiserman 2 assists +2 in BUs 4-0 win
Bednarik no points -1
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I'm no mathematician, but....Ummm . . .
Finley has been one of the best players in the NCAA, I think he should go pro after this season and play a 1-1.5 years in the minors before making the jump.Quinn Finley 2 goals last night
Zach Schultz assist
Nice win 4-0 over #1 Michigan State
Cam Berg still out injured for North Dakota

Get used to pro hockey and develop from there...
I agree. I've watched him a bit, and his calling cards are intelligence, and skill. His skating is pretty good, but not explosive. If he finishes with 55+ points, which he's been on pace to do, this will likely be his path.
Jefferies has already been better than advertised and Finley is a good year more advanced than Jefferies was at the same stage.
Moreover, when you watch Finley play, he's both smart and has some incredible guile with the puck. The organization may have concerns about his lower class weight, but the rest says he's about ready for the next step.
Finley also is very good penalty killer, did good job in that role on US WJC team last year.I agree. I've watched him a bit, and his calling cards are intelligence, and skill. His skating is pretty good, but not explosive.
imo he might develop better with another year in the NCAA to mature, gain muscle. But the issue re rights expiry overrides that.
We don't have much in the way of elite prospects, but we do seem to have a mess of solid guys. Sounds familiar.Goal for Quinn Finley and an assist for Zach Schultz in a 4-0 upset for Wisconsin over #8 Michigan
Danny Nelson goal for Notre Dame. OTL against Ohio State
