Yep. He got a development camp invite, and scored a hat trick in the public scrimmage thing they do up in Fort Collins. Got his contract offer a week or two later.

I think (could be wrong) that he was expected to wear the C for DU if he had gone back for his senior year, but enough years have passed that I don't remember for sure.

That's in keeping with my memory. Especially the fact that he was expected to captain that Pioneers team had he gone back.

I mean, the 4-leaf clover was found in our backyard... but credit the scouts for getting all over him. And above and beyond that... Kudo's to Logan for working his ass off to become the alpha PK SOB he is. It ain't easy to develop and tune an engine that can run like his. Took him a few years, but damnit if Calvert's fingerprints aren't all over the game I sese O'Connor playing.

iirc That was the conversation in the off-season, I believe he finishes his contract this year and then is free to come over. Even if it's just to get his feet wet in the AHL for a short time that would give him a starting point for next season.

Beat me to it. Contract is indeed ending and his agent said last summer the plan was to come to NA in 2025. But, things might have changed for all we know.
