2024 25 Prospect and Wranglers Thread

Season started so good, but too many changes led to quality depth lacking. Don't think any of us expected to go too far.
Interested to see which of our FA's we resign. I'd like to see 2 of Bishop/Frk/Hunt back.
We don't need Tinordi.

Add Costco to that list too.

I left him off for Wrangler consideration, along with Rooney. I would like to see one of them signed as a bubble player for bother squads.
Don't think we need Hanley.
I think after being out for so long and having knee surgery that Costco will need to go to the AHL again for a while.

Basha's Tigers swept the Hurricanes, but he's still not playing (I'm holding out hope still)... they're gonna play Spokane in the WHL Championship.

Now to the Q

Morin's Moncton Wildcats swept the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Morin had 3 points in 4 games, all assists. He's heading to the QMJHL Championship series with 1g and 13 points in 13 games.

Rimouski won in OT tonight to take a 3-2 series lead over Gridin's Shawinigan Cataractes. Gridin has 2g/3p in the series thus far and 8g/17p in 14 playoff games so far.

Gridin's playoffs ended Tuesday night in 2OT of game 7 to Rimouski. He finished with 17 points (8+9) in 16 games, he didn't produce a point in the final 2 playoff games.

With Rimouski being the host team of the Memorial Cup, Morin and the Wildcats will be the rep from the Q regardless of the outcome of the Quebec League finals.

Basha and teammate Lindstrom are both finally back in for Medicine Hat tonight. This is Lindstrom's first game this year (game 1 of a final is a hell of a game to come back to) and Basha's first since December.

Shame that he missed so much of his D+1 year. At least he should be healthy for the offseason so he can add some muscle and be ready for camp next year.

Holy shit, so glad Basha is back!

If anyone wants to watch the WHL final it's on Victory+

Apparently the game is on TSN

It's on TSN1, I believe all the WHL final games will be so if anyone else is in Calgary we can watch the entire West finals with McKenna and Basha.

Basha got a little breakdown before the 2nd period pumping his tires as the 2nd best player on the ice this game after McKenna.

Absolute toss up after 2 for me though. Lots of really interesting prospects. Reminds me of like 2015-16 when I was high on about 10 guys in the system.
