2024 25 Phantoms AHL Reading Royals Echl NCAA Jrs Intl Etc

The Flyers lack of success in rounds 2-7 of the draft for like 20 years is hopefully coming to an end. Brink looks like he has to potential to be a 2nd line guy in the NHL. Cates has done well so far as well. Barkey and Bump hopefully translate to the NHL

Barkey having himself a Giroux-like playoffs.

19 points in 6 games so far in his D+2.

Giroux put up 51 points in 19 games in his D+2.

Don't freak out. I'm not saying Barkey is going to be like Giroux.

I'm saying he's going to be better than Giroux.

Phantoms with luchenko actually have a shot of making it out of the first round. The lapi criticism finally has some ground to stand on as he's actually got a little bit of talent this year
Uh the stats suggest hes actually struggling with the pro game. His line mates are currently playing better away from him. Lappy has had talented teams before as far as the ahl is concerned. He still has very little coaching acumen after all these years behind a bench

Luchanko won't even be a Laughton
I get it that the kid is young and playing in a league with older professionals. However he doesn’t have the goods. He has no signature offensive moves. Without a shot, opponents will play his passing lanes and leave him nothing to contribute to his line. He hasn’t shown much of a scoring touch in the OHL. It isn’t going to miraculously appear at higher levels of the game.
Whoever pushed him forward as a first rounder needs to be immediately canned. The Flyers can’t afford to miss on choices like this. There’s a lot of house cleaning in the organization that needs to be done. It’s late going into the draft but after amassing all of these first and second round picks, does anyone trust Flahr &Co. to make the proper selections? This draft can not go sideways.

I think everyone needs to chill out Jett is 18 fking years old. But also understand he's most likely topping out as a 2nd line center with incredible speed and tempo to his game. He'll be valuable in his own way. If we land a 1C in this draft, all should be fine. I know it could potentially be a terrible pick but we can't go back in time, there's enough torture in store for us next year without letting the Luchanko thing make it even worse lol.

Edit : If we don't land a 1C in this draft or GM next year then I'm going to join everyone in panicking and freaking out.

Think it has more to do with how the organization views him than Jett himself. I think most people realize how hard it is to score as an 18 year old in pro hockey, but this team thought he was worth passing on Buium for (for one reason or another), thought he was good enough to start in the NHL this year despite everything up to that point suggesting that was not a smart idea, and then they complained about his usage at the WJCs. They clearly have an inflated opinion of his game and talent level.

Sounds familiar.
