Any opinion on a couple local college free agents Vinny Borgesi (Northeastern) and Andrew Centrella ( Providence). Micah Berger (Yale).
If Kaplan has another pedestrian year do you see the Flyers walking away from him?
Agree as he is a very smart puck moving dman. Doesn’t get himself into trouble. Though just very small; his smarts outweigh that to me. Worth a 7th rd pick no doubt. IMO.Borgesi should have been drafted back in 2022. Good IQ, nice skills, good skater. If he was 5'11 I would say he likely had an NHL career ahead of him but doubt any team gives him a real shot... probably a career AHLer/Euro top leaguer. My guess is that if he leaves he gets an AHL deal, but some NHL teams will at least be looking at him.
Centrella is not as talented. But he will probably stay at Providence another year or two. My guess is that he is a guy who ends up in ECHL.
Only seen Berger in USHL really, but my guess is a future ECHL level guy unless really develops in College these next few years, if he does then maybe an AHLer.
I think the Flyers sign Kaplan next summer unless he totally bombs tbh given his physical tools.

Berger and Centrella def 4 year guys. Can see them both in the AHL. I think they move on from Kaplan unless he pick sit up. Plus wasn’t a Breire pick.
1 more question. Kenny Connors and Nick Van tassel on Umass. I think Connors will be an NHL player.
Just curious do you watch/follow any D3 at all?Not seen much of Connors tbh aside from WJC, as was before my time watching USHL in depth really.
Van Tassell is spoken highly of from the people who know him etc... but dont think he will be more than an ECHLer if things go well for him.

Will Tyler Muszelik be an NHL goalie? Though it was a reach pick, even though it was a 6th rounder
The rule exists to keep the CHL teams alive. There isn't any TV money for Jrs. they are a gate-dependent league, esp where there isn't corporate sponsorship.I get why the CHL-AHL age rule does exist, but it really isn't there to help the players, as it would be the junior teams. Jett should be in the AHL. He isn't quite there yet where I'd want him in the bigs, and sure as hell don't want him breaking his back anymore in Guelph.
It was my understanding Guelph refused to trade him. Wasn't because lack of offers. The rule exists to keep the CHL teams alive. There isn't any TV money for Jrs. they are a gate-dependent league, esp where there isn't corporate sponsorship.
Besides, Jett is far from too good for the OHL. He'll be fine with one more year in Guelph, WJC again maybe, and hopefully a better team will think highly enough to trade for him, although they didn't this year at the TDL.
Connors signed his contract with the Kings. Not seen much of Connors tbh aside from WJC, as was before my time watching USHL in depth really.

@LegionOfDoom91I miss the guy who used to do the prospect scoring breakdowns every week or so.
Not as depressed as Stizzle. I think he joined an uncontacted tribe in the Amazon to avoid all hockey talk.
I strive to give that little f*** about this team someday. He’s a mutual on social media or I guess was before I deactivated everything. Never, ever mentions hockey. Watches a lot of lucha libre.![]()
Not many, but Jett will benefit from another year in the OHL, hopefully on a better team than Guelph, so he can work on his offensive game and have a bigger role at the WJC.I think there are CHL prospects who could benefit from playing in the AHL at 19. I don't think Jett Luchanko is one of those prospects.
Seriously why wasn't he traded to a playoff team? What good does it bring the Guelph Storm to keep him?Not many, but Jett will benefit from another year in the OHL, hopefully on a better team than Guelph, so he can work on his offensive game and have a bigger role at the WJC.
