I'd totally take Meier back at 50% retention.
imagine an Eklund Celebrini Meier top line.

All I'm imagining is this board getting angry when Meier disappears.I'd totally take Meier back at 50% retention.

I present to you: Henry ThrunOEL is lowkey one of the dumbest players in the league
He won't. Insider info from a senior network exec says that his wife is saying they wont re-sign.Oilers are the saddest excuse for a franchise in the league. How do you blow the advantage of McDavid and Draisaitl in their primes making a combined 20 million? McDavid is a complete loser if he signs an extension to stay there.
If that is the case, the trade watch for McDavid would be epic.He won't. Insider info from a senior network exec says that his wife is saying they wont re-sign.
I don't think that's fair because Florida has skill and physicality. Their defensive group is unimpressive, but their forward group can best you any which way.See you next year Tampa… watching Florida vs Tampa is like watching Sharks vs Kings, the more skilled team getting crushed by the physical
If Edmonton offers McDavid signed, long-term, for Dickinson, Eklund, and whoever is picked in 2025, do you say yes? There's no way McDavid stays in Edmonton if they lose this series.

Yeah I think if entertaining a McDavid trade you would want to keep one of Dickinson or Schaefer if drafted. Without one of them the D prospect pool is so bad that they would likely end up like Edm or Tor.First instinct is yes, but for as much as teh Sharks' problem is just getting more skill in the lineup and as fun as bludgeoning teams with a 3-headed monster of Celebrini, McDavid, and Smith would be, there's every risk that this team becomes what the Oilers are now: a top-heavy scoring machine that can't keep pucks out of their own net.
Unless the oilers commit to a rebuild, McDavid is more valuable to the oilers than pretty much anything realistic in a trade return. Since they just signed Drai, it's unlikely they commit.OK, McDavid signed, long-term, for Smith, Dickinson, and Eklund.
