Sharks had two of these in March! It sometimes inexplicitly happens! Also a 3-2 stretch that if replicated would make us second place assuming the Hawks bomb the rest of the season.

Dallas's defense looking extremely suspect without Miro. My memory is rusty but wasn't Deboer infamous around here for "turtling" when the Sharks had the lead, inevitably leading to them blowing said leads (especially after his 1st season)?

Granlund even scored an empty netter to make it 5-2…. Dallas looks very vulnerable without Heiskanen. Hoping Colorado knocks them out to give us a bit more value out of the Dallas 1st. Not as important but Colarado moving on and making it to the WCF would also bump the 5th rounder to a 4th from the Blackwood trade.

The 2016 Sharks had historically good metrics playing with a lead. Dunno about any subsequent years but it was a huge strength in the SCF year.

And can't even whine about an unfair penalty to lose that lead like vegas can. That was 4 unanswered goals at even strength.

Hopefully Hawks can beat Bruins today for the final win of the season so we can try to gun for 2 wins. I don’t think we beat Oilers either game with McDavid back and Draisaitl probably returning for the season closer next week. So it’s Flames or Canucks. The Flames need to win out while Wild drop a few or beat the Wild, go 3-1 and hope Wild drop 1-2 others to clinch. Or they could hope the Blues somehow drop their final 2 games vs Kraken/Utah and they finish 3-1.

Hawks are winning 4-1. Having a 5 point cushion with, what, 3 games to play would be amazing.

Alright, with Hawks win, Sharks can now go 2-1-1 to end the season. Just asking for 2 wins. That is all.
Bruins with the clutchest tank job since Chicago magically beat us, CBJ and the Ducks in the Bedard sweepstakes. From borderline playoff team just a month ago to having a good chance at a top 4 pick, what an epic run.
I think they’ll invest heavily in the team this year. So many trade pieces and cap space to do so. Swayman is better than this and they didn’t have McAvoy for a lot of the season.

We just lost our #1 defenseman who is, in fact, maybe a #4 defenseman, soooo… I’m pretty sure we’re not winning another game?
They are in good position to retool, they have quite a bit of talent locked up, a lot of cap space, and their fire sale got them a lot of assets. On top of that, ending up with a James Hagens would be huge it they can go right back to contention. I'd actually be pretty optimistic if I were a Boston fan, aggressively hunting for a top 5 spot when the playoffs were lol was a super solid move.
