This season, Albin Sundin has been alternating between Frölunda in the SHL and AIK in the Swedish Hockey League.
The 20-year-old from Kungsbacka, who played his entire junior season in the Gothenburg club, has been on loan to AIK for parts of the season and has accounted for nine points in 17 games.
But next season looks to be a full-on SHL game for Sundin, who seriously wants to establish himself in SHL hockey. In Frölunda, there were already seven established defensemen under contract, which makes for tough competition.
According to Expressen's information, Timrå has now instead signed the defender on a multi-year contract.
Timrå has also previously completed the signings of defenders Marcus Hardegård (Luleå) and Emil Stadin (Sundsvall Hockey), which Expressen revealed, as well as Alfons Freij from Björklöven, which Hockeynews was first to report.
This means the backline is more or less ready for the club for the upcoming season.
Rumour is Albin Sundin has turned down a deal from Frolunda and has signed with Timra for next year.
Frolunda has a pretty crowded D core, so Sundin hasn't been getting much opportunity. Sounds like he'll have a full time spot on Timra.
