Prospect Info: 2024/25 Oilers Prospect Thread

Another win for Jonsson. He gave up two goals in the last 30 seconds, but held on to win 6-5.

15-1-0, 1.78 GAA, .925 SV%.

Also, from what I can gather from a Swedish article that's behind a paywall, Jonsson has been confirmed as Farjestad's third goalie, so maybe he'll get some SHL games in this season.

William Nicholl grinds it out on the boards and picks up an assist here. His look in the Top-6 came to an end last game, but he's still playing with Halttunen.

Sam O'Reilly collected an assist.

I watched the Knights game with the Rangers. O'Reilly was playing with Cowan and Barkey, He looked very solid to me but with those two he is not going to have the puck on his stick all that much. Throw in Dickenson and we might see him slow down in individual scoring as he is really the defensive conscience of that group.

Throw in Bonk and Brzustewicz as other D who also like to activate on that team.

O'Reilly played with Barkey and Montgomery in the Battalion game the other night. I didn't notice Nicholl's linemates, but he was definitely on the 3rd line. I came away impressed with his skating.

Both of these guys are paying their dues this season. Bigger roles going to the soon to be graduates.

Sam O'Reilly had two assists, including all the work on this goal.

William Nicholl Got an assist out of this

I watched some of this game including the play in the first video. O'Reilly continues to impress. London really seems to mix up their lines. While I was watching he was playing with Haltunnen. The previous game it was with Cowan and Barkey.

Montgomery is an exciting prospect.
Yah, he looks quite dynamic. Ottawa may well have a sleeper on their hands. Big kid as well.

Barkey was a late scratch yesterday and Cowan missed both games this weekend, so the lines got some musical chairs.

That explains it. I knew Cowan was out but I did not see the news on Barkey. I only saw about 10 minutes of the game and did not have the sound on so to be honest I was mostly just watching for when O'Reilly and Nicholl were on. But the scattering of games I have watched he ha splayed with quite a variety of linemates.

Nicholl with the assist from winning the draw.

No points for O'Reilly yet, but he did manage to pick up a double roughing minor and a 10 minute misconduct.

Wakely one-upped O'Reilly by getting a 5 minute major and match penalty for a slew foot 5 minutes into his game.

Noticed Barkey - Nicholl - Cowan from the starting lineup tweet. Glad Nicholls getting another Top-6 look.

Shane Lachance had a goal and an assist.
