No teams switched this time. The teams teetering last week (Toronto and Acadia going up, and Waterloo and Moncton going down) all split their games so they stay put for another week. In the meantime, McGill and Windsor are making a push for promotion.

Once again, no teams switched this time. The teams teetering on relegation all did well and escaped, except for Moncton who continue to teeter. Windsor and McGill deserve a boost to B, and Toronto, Acadia, and now Brock are deserving of C+. I lacked the time to revamp the rankings for those teams this week. (Every change has reverberations throughout the conference.)

A lot of movement, mostly in the OUA West. Windsor and Lakehead made the jump to B, and Toronto moved back to C+.

In the OUA East, Carleton has been slumping and finally dropped to C+. They were the only team to move down a category. There could be a big shuffle next week, with Ontario Tech going down and McGill and UQTR going up.

Acadia remains on the berge of a promotion to C+, but two losses hold them down for at least another week. In turn, they hold back Brock and Guelph, the latter of whom are getting a late season boost.

RMC really needs a win! It might be time for a D level.

This is the penultimate OHT35 ranking for the 2024-25 CIS season.

New Brunswick have been stead-as-she-goes as others have surpassed them, then fallen back. It would take a massive let-down to knock them out of 1st. None of Concordia, Sask, nor Mount Royal can gain AOA points, due to playing teams in C+ or C levels, against whom they are already 100%. And you can’t improve on 100%. UNB could lose up to 7.5 AOA points with two losses on the closing weekend.

The OUA East had the most movement, with UQTR and McGill finally moving back to B from C+. Meanwhile, Calgary and Moncton are threatening to go the other way after spending all year in B. The usual minimum AOA of B level is 55.25, and both are 55.00. However, including non-conference play (weighted at 50% of the regular season) the Dinos are 58.75 and Moncton is 56.25.

There was no category shifting in the OUA West. Brock is still teetering on a promotion from C to C+.

In the AUS, St. FX was relegated from B to C+ whilst Acadia was promoted from C to C+. Those two and SMU all belong together it seems.

Since this is the final poll of the season, there is no clinging on for another week for the borderline teams. Then, as one team moves up or down, the dominoes fall and soon affect a lot of teams.

There was no movement in the CW or AUS. The CW hasn’t had a team shift categories for quite a while.

The OUA had a lot of shifting, all downward. In the OUA East, Queen’s moved into B level in November and stayed there all season, until now. Ontario Tech barely slipped from B to C+. In the OUA West, a lot of recalculations were caused by the “smoothing” due to nobody having more than one game against an A team. Their only two B teams moved down, Lakehead on points and Windsor due to their location in the standings. They and Western Ontario had identical records in the midst of the division’s 6 playoff teams, all separated by a mere 4 points. This is the first time in a while that the AOA was set aside for a team. Hence, their asterisk.
