My favorite is always the 1-2 hours after a story breaks when the Jays reporters start coming out acting like they have some additional insight to the situation we already know about. Like "things changed when the Jays acquired additional IAFA space and that's when the deal came together" like no shit...

Jays don't have insiders, we feed them nothing which is why it's funny when people report we are in on everyone. Nobody knows.

I've always had the sense than guys like BNS and Shi often know more than they're letting on but because their bosses are the same company that owns the Jays the Jays get to basically tell them what to say to control the narrative. Which usually is nothing worth saying at all because the Jays are so tight lipped.

Hey i will welcome it but i would take it with a grain a salt. Says a bunch of things are close, but nothing happened;

He has got more wrong than right.

Hey now, get outta here with that bucket of cold water. Use it to take a shower or something, that should cause things to move along

Fair enough. Weird if he's just guessing that he nailed the exact team that would be trading IFA money. But I guess one could just look at who has IFA money left and is cheap and probably get a decent chance at being right

I don't think Roki told the dodgers or blue jays who he choose. If he did wouldn't the team that will miss out on him start signing their international players?

The Dodgers are capped at 8,233,600
It'll be interesting to see if the Dodgers try to trade for more space to get close even if they can’t surpass

The Jays actually have something to lose now (taking on dead assets) compared to last year, just missing on Ohtani.

Imagine getting in a bidding war of who can take on more dead assets to accrue the most international money lol

I don’t want to believe as I don’t want to be hurt again…but this FO is the antithesis of an aggressive group. Spending over $12M on Myles Straw to get that extra IFA $ is not the type of move they make without having a STRONG indication he’s coming.

Yep... the Jays officially can't be outspent by the Dodgers on this one.

Officially not for his first deal... nothing says the Dodgers don't give him 300 million in a year or two for an extension. They are not cheap, and can be very creative with moving money as we all know.

I am hoping for Sasaki as priority #1 at the moment but like most other fans.. I'll believe it when I see it.

Could be there is a STRONG indication he's coming.
