And Kucherov isn't even second? That's the most straws grasping answer I've ever seen in my lifeNot at the top of list.
You do realize kucherov did finish as the leagues best player maker. Only player in history besides Gretzky to have back to back 30 point runs. Only player to have 40 goals and 100 assist multiple times in a season besides Gretzky and Lemieux. Kucherov is statistically in a category with the goats, is the best player maker in league,, and has produced the most of anyone in the league over the last two years . To put MacKinnon over him is just nonsense. And Kucherov isn't even second? That's the most straws grasping answer I've ever seen in my life
MacKinnon won the Ted Lindsay last year too voted on by the players so you can stop with this nonsense.
I tried to dissect stats a bit further to see why they voted this way but didnt find much. Only thing I can think of is they objectively respect the Jets d core or system more?
The players know best, much more accurate than the talking heads on TV and spreadsheet jockeys on X
Matthews is gonna have to get it done in the playoffs for his peers to give him a title like that. Barkov is probably the right answer to the question at this point, and he finished narrowly behind Crosby at #2.I'm surprised Crosby won "most complete player." He's 37 and basically just deployed for offense at this stage. His defensive metrics aren't that good now.
Hard to imagine he's a more complete player than Barkov or Matthews at this point.
Or, they just think McDavid is better overall? It's interesting that the players look at Draisaitl as a side kick.
Crosby>Jagr. Not really a debateDon’t really understand this comment. Jagr without Lemieux is arguably still one of the ten greatest players to ever play the game and also peaked at a level that someone like Crosby never reached. Jagr is also the best player post-Gretzky and Lemieux and pre-McDavid.
