Vet RB like Zeke, AP, Bell, McCoy are not that valuable even as RB3 because those spots are part of your special teams units. So, someone else has to do that job if you dress them.

Considering he's in year seven and will be going to the playoffs for only the second time, I can see him being on board with resting. Especially since he's on a team with the ability to make a deep run.

But if they get bounced their first game, he may look back with regret later.
