Adrian Peterson is broke and now has to turn in assets for his 12 million dollar debt.

Think he once spent $1 mill on his birthday party.
You wonder about certain players, who have father multiple children with multiple women (Hill, Howard, etc.) and some big spenders (some stuff came out regarding Trent Williams). Can't go crazy as you aren't going to make $20 mill into your 40's. Having a couple of fun things is fine. Just need to be more prudent with your money.

hard to believe that guys who get their heads cracked a few dozen times a day at work would make stupid decisions

that's it for young in carolina. they'll dump him for a late round draft pick in the offseason

looking like a bigger bust than russell at this point

Good decision. Canales has a job to do in terms of evaluating the rest of the roster.

Can't do that with a guy who shits himself at the thought of throwing more than 5 yards down the field.

At least with Russell raiders didn’t trade up for him. That is what puts Young busting ahead of him.

It’s the extra assets that went to going from 9 to 1. Moore, 2024 first, 2023 second (SF) and 2025 second. Didn’t just blow the 2023 first.

This right here. Russell was that classic case of a bunch of teams talking themselves into him because of his admittedly tantalizing upside. If Oakland wasn't picking first, almost guaranteed that anyone else in their spot would have.

I'd argue the deal has the potential to be worse than Leaf as well. The big piece the Chargers gave up in that deal was Eric Metcalf, who ended up doing pretty much nothing post trade.

Carolina gave up DJ Moore, who put up almost 1400 yards in his first year as a Bear and is probably a fringe top 10, at least top 15 WR at minimum, a pile of picks, one of which might end up turning into the QB Chicago has been praying for since the Sid Luckman days.

Horrendous return on investment and that decision, coupled with the Texans hitting the jackpot on the next pick is going to haunt the Panthers for years to come.
