I've come up with a name for the conference that I've proposed be formed by the Midwestern schools in the Big East and Atlantic 10, plus Detroit Mercy of the Horizon League and Valparaiso of the MVC.
I've proposed reviving the name North Star Conference, which was used by a women's sports-only D-I conference from 1983-92 that at various points included all the schools I've proposed for the new conference except Creighton and Saint Louis.
While there is currently a North Star Athletic Association in the NAIA, that conference will dissolve at the end of this academic year.
