Western Michigan played the perfect hockey game tonight from what I saw.

I’m a CIS guy but I’ve been watching NCAA hockey religiously for the last few months , definitely got me hooked… even have me looking to see where the next few Frozen Four’s are , can’t say I really want to go to Vegas but definitely a top of the Bucket List item.

I can’t believe Western Michigan won a hockey national championship in the 2020s before Michigan Hockey

I've been watching NCAA for several years. Closest I came was Tampa in 2012. I was in St Petes at the time. I knew a guy (an ex-SMU player) in the Bolts organization but he was unable to get me tickets because the NCAA controlled Every aspect of the tournament.

Even though I am a far bigger hockey fan than a basketball fan, I would most likely go to March Madness before the Frozen Four. Being in Canada I watch hockey all winter. So March Madness would be more unique.

Note - went to my first NCAA football game last year. USC vs UCLA. Can't beat the atmosphere.

Would be a good get for Chicago, so I'm hoping for it. Plus, even if he does get hired by Chicago and things turn out disasterously, he's already got the college resume to borderline guarantee another major program head coaching role down the road.

I agree with everything you say, except that if he is "terrible" in the NHL, he'll lose credibility as a coach and be labelled a loser. But, having said that, I would like to see him in the NHL. He's a great young coach.

Whichever candidate signs with the Blackhawks & fails to turn the team's fortunes around, the reaction will be: "So what? Everybody knew the Blackhawks sucked."

given the # of CHL guys who still expect to transition over it is still wayyyy too early for pre-season rankings, but I think it is pretty fair to say that WMU, MSU, and BU will be 1,2,3 going into the season. If Michigan really lands as many guys as some people think, they could find themselves firmly up there as well.

Who are other teams who will be strong?
