2024-25 NCAA Division I Hockey Thread

I’m curious, the new rule allowing JUCO players or players that played at a non NCAA school an extra year of eligibility has me wondering … would CIS and ACHA hockey players be able to take advantage of this ? All the discussion I can find around it is about JUCO Football players .

Might be a dumb question, I have trouble keeping up with NCAA Eligibility rules at the best of times .
If someone would take advantage of it is an entirely different question .

Good, gutsy win by Arizona State last night. I hope they can close out the series against Minnesota-Duluth tonight.

Also caught a bit of the end of UConn vs. Providence. I don't know why I'm always surprised by how young college (and junior, when I watch junior hockey) players look.

NCHC Frozen Faceoff at the X Friday

UND vs WMU
ASU vs DU

Go Sun Devils! I'm not sure I see us getting past Denver. If we do, I don't see us beating what's likely to be Western Michigan in the title game either. I like our chances much better if we do get past Denver and North Dakota upsets Western Michigan though.

Northeasern loses 3-4 to Maine in 2OT and UConn upends BU 5-2. UConn vs Maine HE Final.

Thats how strong Hockey East is this season, with 4 teams going to the NCAA tourney, all ranked in the top 8 polling. BC will be the OTHER team going.

Minnesota Sam Rinzel and Oliver Moore sign ELCs with Blackhawks. Both players expected to play against Utah Sunday.
Not sure this was wise since they've only limited years in...I prefer players to play at least 3 years of College/University hockey it improves their chance of success and not just be Cannon fodder in the Minor Leagues
