he's just not an exciting player to watch. i think most people would agree that he's a non-MVP caliber all NBA player. what he needs to do is embrace his boringness and try to be duncan instead of kobe

also, don't do weird shit like text dead people or pretend to be KG after winning the finals

Exactly - be this generations Tim Duncan.

Because they're Sixers fans and they take umbrage with his ownership of the team despite them constantly making the playoffs. Their best player Embiid plays like 6 games a year and people have the nerve to blame Harris for the team being under .500

Harris has been a joke since he let Silver force the Colangelos on him. And now that he finally got his stadium to line his pockets he'll go back into the shadows. I'm not sure he's worse than the final days of Snider/Comcast, but he's certainly not much better.

I can't speak for the Devils, but I'm sure he only has goodwill with Washington football fans because he still has that 'Not Daniel Snyder' shine.

You're right it's not entirely Harris' fault though, because everything in the Sixers organization from ownership down, other than Tyrese Maxey, is a clown a show right now.

Unless they’re a Reddit idiot, zero people have been blaming Josh Harris. They know he doesn’t care, so how can he be at fault when he’s not paying attention? It’s all Morey and Embiid basically.

I repeat myself a lot, but I want to find that alternate universe where Hinkie stays. I think they're at worst are the Thunder (why were they allowed to openly tank? Cause they play in OKC?) right now and think they at least get to a Finals by now.

Colangelos were a joke
Brand was in over his head
Morey just keeps acquiring guys he had in Houston

That doesn't shed any of the blame from Embiid though. Never seen a guy go from beloved to hated so quickly for non-off the field stuff.

I don’t think Elton Brand had any real control.

Also, on Josh Harris, no coincidence that the building thing happened just in time for Embiid to check out. Embiid should’ve been shut down before Christmas so that the Sixers can tank and keep their pick. That’s the ONLY path to even getting another sniff before Embiid is completely finished.

The vitriol toward Embiid is almost exclusively because he went to the Olympics. It wouldn’t be there if he hadn’t. And it should have been his choice, and it did work out getting a gold medal. But it was obvious almost as soon as it ended that it was putting this season at risk and knowing that he has only so many miles left, which is to say nothing about the miles that were already put on his knees. It was very much ‘well if he’s going to the Olympics, he better be ready for the season,’ which also didn’t happen.

The Sixers have done what they’ve always done whenever the situation on Embiid’s healthy and availability, which is to lie about it. And then make whoever the coach is take the bullets for it, something that’s been consistent no matter who the coach or GM or president is.

You also now know that the fanbase knows the Process has failed. Really, it failed long ago. The Sixers blowing 2 first overall picks had nothing to do with Embiid. But now everyone knows that it’s just not going to happen. Embiid is not someone who is going to get you there as a #1 guy. He just can’t do it. They’ve tried everything.

Texting dead people?

Curry with 56 tonight.

Would love to see him win one more ring as unlikely it would be

Well, I think everyone wishes that they had been able to keep Hinkie and avoid the Colangelos. That said, Hinkie did the easy part, tearing it down. Building it up is MUCH harder. I’ve always felt that Ben Simmons caused a lot of the Sixers difficulties. Would Hinkie have drafted him with the 1st overall in 2016? Probably, he was the consensus pick.

The mistake was making him the point guard. He wasn’t suited to the position for a number of reasons and that led to them trading up in 2017 to draft Fultz, and we know how that turned out. And remember, at the time ofthat draft Simmons hadn’t even played yet since he missed what would have been his rookie year with an injury.

So the opportunity was there to go another direction, would Hinkie have done that? Would he have stuck with the 3rd overall, or even traded back, and taken Fox and made him the PG? Things might have been very different, but Hinkie decided he wanted Fultz then I’m not sure how different they would have been. And Embiid would still be injury prone. Maybe Hinkie pays more attention to the backup C position than has been done with the assortment of washed up vets and G-Leaguers that we’ve seen.

I think OKC has been super lucky, and the Sixers have gotten some really bad rolls of the dice.

I think the vitriol with Embiid is not getting it done in the playoffs combined with him always being hurt.
and the ugly MVP Beg, ducking Denver and the flopping.
