the fact that the spurs managed to get fox for a couple benchwarmers and a 1st without giving up castle or vassell was completely overshadowed by the luka trade

It was four firsts but two are conditional so yea impressive they got him for so cheap. Trades like this are why Sacramento will forever be in franchise purgatory. Few down years of tanking, one or two playoff years then back to tanking; never good enough to be a finals contender.

Can't say I disagree with Tim.

The NBA could make as much money off division rivalries as the NFL does if after Seattle and Vegas join, with Vegas joining the Pacific Division, the teams in the PNW and 4 Corners forming the Mountain Division, and Minnesota and OKC going to the Central and Southwest, respectively, they go to a regular season schedule format that emphasizes division rivalries.

Teams in the 5-team divisions would have 6 or 7 guaranteed games against each division rival, and teams in the 6-team divisions 5 or 6, with two guaranteed match-ups between every pair of teams not in the same division.

Don't know if it's the calf or his conditionning but Luka looks winded and labouring like crazy running up and down the court. He's been absolute garbage in LA so far.

He hasn't scored 20 points in any of the games so far and they're 1-2 in those three games, losing against two G-league teams, the Jazz and the Hornets.

The main issue is Lebron is still conducting things on the court, this will not work, Luka has to run the show, he can't be somebody else's sidekick.

i wouldn't make assumptions off 3 games. not to mention he's coming off an injury that can linger, adjusting to new teammates/schemes, getting over the shellshock of being traded, and not being in his usual rhythm yet because of minutes restrictions and the AS break

conditioning aside, he's still playing like his usual self. only problem is that his shot hasn't been falling. i see the rest of this season as the lakers playing with house money. it'll take time for him to adjust and they're not winning a title without a big man anyways. they'll make moves in the offseason to build around luka and hopefully he can get back to 100% health wise for a serious run next season
