Obviously with the draft and free agency, our attention was not on 3R, but after Beauregard and Proctor, they signed a few guys.

And they also confirmed Larivière is not coming back:

The team was bought by Spire Holdings led by Jeff Dickerson. Dickerson owns two other ECHL teams.

How stable is the franchise now that they have been bought? Also what made the previous owner sell; because the turnout is bad?

Because he’s a deadbeat or because the cost overrun was larger than the revenue?

I think it's overall. The guy had two franchises in the Growlers and Lions among other assets. I think the fact that the Lions were bought and the Growlers weren't should be an indication that the Lions aren't a lost cause. The new owner is also pretty experienced with sports teams (2 other ECHL teams and several Nascar teams) so I doubt he would just throw money away.

They'll never be at the top of ECHL attendance because of arena capacity (4500 seats), but on the other hand they probably cost less to operate than a 1/2 filled 10000-15000 seats arena.

Surely it's Anthony Beauchamp.

He played the last 3 seasons with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (another ECHL franchise owned by Dickerson). Beauchamp was an assistant captain and has played a total of 180 GP. He's from Thurso, QC.

He's 6' and 203 lbs, will turn 26 early in the season next year. His 3 seasons in the ECHL so far (all for Greenville):
2021-22: 13 pts (7G, 6A) in 41 GP + 0 pts in 1 playoff game
2022-23: 31 pts (10G, 21A) in 67 GP + 0 pts in 5 playoff games
2023-24: 31 pts (14G, 17A) in 72 GP + 1 assist in 6 playoff games.
