Although still not having their affiliation with Canadiens/Laval renewed yet (only a matter of time), the schedule for the 2024-25 season has been released.

And although the affiliation hasn't been extended yet, Laval signed Israel Mianscum to a two-way deal, and 3R also announced the signing.

Mann just signed in Germany. Yaremko also signed in Europe.

Don't really care about Mann. But Yaremko was good for 3R and a good option for Laval. Sucks to lose him. He signed to play in the second division in Germany.

I do hope they bring Émond back. Him and Bouthillier are the tandem I'm hoping for.

If they are, one or both will be on a Laval contract, Habs cannot risk them getting an AHL PTO and not be available as a call up for Laval. They could also sign a different goalie for Laval and play him in TR

Émond was signed to an AHL deal last year. I'm good with giving them both an AHL deal.

What's Boucher situation? A one way AHL deal with Belleville? I'm clearly not understanding ECHL contracts 🤨

He was signed to an ECHL deal with 3R. So whenever he was sent back to the ECHL, it could only be in 3R. With the Sens, it was as a PTO. I always wondered why Laval wasn't bringing him up, but looks like Belleville did. He was never officially signed with them. Just a PTO each time they brought him up.

His dad was a guest on Marinaro's podcast and mentioned that his son will look to play in Europe next year.

When with the Lions, he was clearly one of the best players in ECHL. Too bad if we lose him to Europe too, but I guess it's the way Minor Leagues work.

On local radio (106.9 Cogeco): press conference tomorrow at 2PM, with Dickerson, Cousineau, Choules and Jean-François Houle.

I guess they will renew the agreement

Geez, Deacon Sports had amassed about a half-million in debt to the city. Dickerson has paid it all off.

Thank the hokey gods he showed up to save the franchise or else we'd be exactly where the Newfoundland Growlers are right now, defunct.

Reminds me of PKP stepping up to buy the Als and saving them from potentially shutting down or relocating.
