Laval Rocket: 2024-25 Laval Rocket Thread

Not a fan of this break. Big momentum killer especially starting on the road. Laval is frickin stacked though.

Positive is that players have time to heal up. But the break is way too long. Imagine Rochester, who hasn't played in 2 weeks by the time the series starts.

The AHL playoffs are badly scheduled. Rochester/Syracuse had already played 3 games while Laval/Cleveland had only played 1.

I know some AHL rinks are shared with others, so it could be a scheduling issue. For example Cleveland plays in the same arena as the Cavaliers, so it's possible they couldn't play there as the NBA playoffs are also going on.

Really trying to do anything to appease a guy that is probably gone from the organization this summer.

I don't get it, who cares what his record is vs Rochester, the team played great in front of Fowler for 3 games, in front of Primeau they didn't, why mess with that while in a 5 game series and starting on the road vs one of the best teams in the AHL? Not saying the loss was on Primeau but we all know teams will play different in front of different goalies. Fowler was so calm and sharp in net, I just think the team responded to that,

It really makes no sense. Fowler was given an opportunity and is running with it. Let him. That's professional sports. Of course you feel bad for Primeau but he will get his chance to take the net back. It's unlikely Fowler goes undefeated. No idea why they have to try to shoehorn Primeau into games. It's galaxy brain.

Primeau is not the future but his 21-2-2 record can't be ignored. If Vincent thinks Primeau is the best bet...go with him.

I'm seriously impressed by the human sponge. There is abolutely no reason to hand it to Primeau...who is likely traded away this summer.

As far as i know, he wont pass waivers next fall and we will lose him for nothing, so i can see a trsde for Primeau as part of a package.

Right now, I'm extremely impressed with his positioning and rebound control. Something young tenders tend to take time to master.

Here's hoping that we got our next Jesus Price...

No idea why Vincent would come out and say that.

Fowler deserves to start.

He gets a loss, you go to Primeau.

That seems more fair, but still sucks if the losing goalie actually played really well.

Vincent didn't say he will start with Primeau. In fact, he hasn't announced who will start.

Marcotte is saying what he hears it’ll be Primeau. But Vincent hasn't said anything.

I know people will bitch if it’s not Fowler, but just win. I suspect they’ll each get some games anyway.

You know I was done with Primeau, but if he’s turned it around, I’d much prefer they keep him another year and give him a shot at camp. I don’t care who the goalies are, as long as they’re the best.

One thing Vincent said is that both goalies will see action.

I don't know what they'll do with Primeau. But the guy really went to work when he was sent down. He didn't sulk or demand a trade. He went on an amazing run and he deserves to play.

And the others players notice if someone is treated unfairly, that's part of player management too. Primeau has earned that chance.
