Laval Rocket: 2024-25 Laval Rocket Thread

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Especially since his QO is 1.1 million, which is more that what he would get in FA.

I could still see him coming back on a 2-way if teams aren't interested in giving him a 1-way.

AHL contract, I wouldn't use a NHL contract slot on him now.. not with Condotta getting signed.

I don't know man we have a limited number of contracts and a ton of talent pushing. He just isn't moving the needle like he once did.

Looking forward to seeing him on the second pairing playing 12 minutes.

Or not...

Given what I think about Vincent and how he treated M and now R, I expect to see 22-25 minutes and then a few games later...oops.

Let's see if he can surprise...

He will not play all 3 games this week, this is pretty much guaranteed.

They don't need him in the regular season, those games are just to help him go full time/efficiency in the playoffs.

Does anyone know if RDS will show away games during the playoffs for Laval? I know they only show home games right now but I was hoping they may also show the away games come playoff time.

I believe yes. If they don't have the away games on TV due to other obligations, I believe it will be streamed on their website.

Last time they were in the playoffs, RDS was showing all the games.

Any idea if Dauphin is going to get an NHL contract?

Always liked the player and it seems he has claimed the 1C spot in Laval this year. Some stability next year would be good.

IIRC he said before the season he regretted leaving the last time so I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to re-sign him.

Coming back to Quebec was his priority. Once he got the offer from Laval, he didn't even search for NHL contract opportunities.

Not sure what's going on with Beck, but he's been absolute crap since being returned to AHL. He needs to be a lot better.

Del Bel Beluz looks like he's going to be a player for Columbus. I remember what a horrible skater he was in junior. He has improved that part of his game a lot.
I’ll say it again. Stop calling guys up rookies from the ahl! It never works out and when they go back, it takes them a while to start playing better. Let them win down there and earn a spot out of camp.

who cares if they take a while to get over it. The AHL team is not that important and in this case it won't affect Laval's playoff chances. Better to let them see where they need to improve before getting to the NHL permanently.

This year, I care. Which team is probably going to go farther this year? The Habs or Laval? I know they won’t drop from a playoff spot, but first overall secures him ice advantage through the playoffs. Given the Laval crowd, that’s huge.

Anyway, I know how it works. I just want to see Laval win it all. The Habs might get in, but Roy or Beck aren’t tipping the scales for them to win a cup.
