Laval Rocket: 2024-25 Laval Rocket Thread

I think it's more about testing Primeau than not trusting Hughes.

At this point, there aren't any must win games until the playoffs. With 30ish games to play, they have a 18 points playoffs cushion.
I was actually thinking more about Hughes and his state of mind if and when we do have to use him.
He didn't look like a happy camper when they panned to him before the game.

We should be concerned that we weren't confident enough to go with our back up.
If we aren't going to use him in an obvious start when are we going to use him?
Was this a must win game. :dunno:
Ya I was surprised Hughes didn’t start especially with the short turn around. Maybe on Wednesday?

The guy won’t be in Laval next season.

with the schedule they have coming up, they are going to need all the help they can get, after this weekends series vs the Marlies they play 6 games in 11 days, ouch.
I wish they’d send Beck and Mailloux back. Sure it’s good to see them do well, but I want at least one winning team this year. Hopefully Reinbacher goes down soon too. I really hope that if Hughes sells, he doesn’t pillage Laval.

Matt Murray sent down. Funny how the Leafs usually manage to send help down whenever they play Laval.

They'll both be back after this weekend. But don't be surprised when Beck gets recalled again to finish out his season with the big club. He'll still be post season bound with Laval anyways.

True. Still. Its Toronto this weekend and I don’t want them to lose.
We all know the Habs will.

I guess the lines for the game are the following:

Farrell-Dauphin-ABB
RHP-Condotta-Roy
Davidson-Xhekaj-Mesar
Arseneau-Kidney-Tuch

I know Simoneau will miss at least one month but when is Gignac suppose to be back?

Primo..............10-0 wow
Good on him, for going down and working on his game.
He was outstanding in the 3rd period where only one team was on the ice. That had a Toronto comeback written all over it and he stopped everything. That was impressive to watch.

Any word on Gignac? Hopefully Tuck and Arsenault won’t be out long. It showed on Saturday.
Looks like Beck and Mailloux sent down. Hopefully they’ll kick the crap out of Belleville. I’m debating getting tickets since it’s in Kanata.

:D Well we survived that.

I really like how this team has performed from day one allowing us to build up a huge cushion.
It now allows us to move players up who deserve a developmental look and it helps us identify those who are ready to take the big step next season. Our post season is assured and we should be able to maintain home ice for the playoffs.
