I thought Mesar was due back before that? From my calculations, both Mesar and Gignac should be back right after Christmas.
If only Reinbacher could surprise and comeback before March.....

Forecaster scouting report on Tuch:Tuch is easily the most NHL ready player that I have seen watching Laval over the early part of this season. No one else has his combination of size, speed and physicality. He'll never score much at the next level, but he will be hell to play against. Between him, Beck, Florian Xhekaj, and Davidson, we have some iron coming up. Montreal will no longer be an easy team to play against.
Forecaster scouting report on Tuch:
Scouting Report
The younger brother of NHL winger Alex Tuch, he projects as a solid role player at the highest level due to his excellent size, strength and willingness to do battle in the corners and in front of the opposing goal. Unfortunately, he lacks his older sibling's offensive ability, which limits his overall potential in the National Hockey League. As a bottom-six winger, however, he gets the job done and is always difficult to line up against. What you see is what you get here, with few surprises or disappointments.
Seems the Habs have several options for third and fourth lines. Unfortunately without more top two line prospects, all the good hard working youngsters will not improve Montreal's standings. However some of them, like Tuch will help, and others can be traded away in package deals
Just ignore these ‘scouting services’ as they just parrot the prevailing opinions and sentiments .What do you mean? They have enough top6 prospects to go with the established players. In fact, there's probably some that will be moved.
I would be pleased to see Tuch provide 15-20 goals or have major impact with the Habs, but see him as a fourth liner with speed and physicality.Just ignore these ‘scouting services’ as they just parrot the prevailing opinions and sentiments .
It’s interesting because they have the Canadiens’ development stage exactly reversed in my opinion: that the Canadiens are weak in forward prospects and have a plethora of top-line defensive prospects.
I wonder if they even watch the prospects they opine on. To call Tuch a solid role player is a gross understatement of this kid’s potential. With this kid’s size, strength, physicality and high end skating ability, Tuch will raise the team’s overall speed median, provide a huge / intimidating forechecking element, be able to play in all game circumstances, play a responsible defensive game and should, despite not being as offensively talented as his older brother, be able to score between 15 to 20 goals a year.
We should only have 5 more such ‘role’ players.
Ignore the ill-informed on-line chatter. Use your own eyes.
Nice to see former Laval Rocket Nathan Légaré getting called up to New Jersey and will make his NHL debut.
He was traded to New Jersey last year in exchange for Arnaud Durandeau. Arnaud did well with Laval, putting up 6 pts in 10 GP. However, Habs opted not to bring him back. And with how well Laval is doing this year, you can't say they made the wrong choice not re-signing him.

This surely means Tuch will be back in the line-up tonight.
Now let's wait for some good news regarding Mesar please!
Engstrom as well, crazy draft.
Nathan is the brother of my brother's gf, we were so pumped for him!!! Sucks he's not in Laval anymore though
He has started skating solo. So that's a good sign.
Really hope he'll be able to pick things right back up where he left them, it was such a terrible time to get injuredThat means he should be back by Jan as expected. Good good.
AHL Trade:
Jacob Perreault for Noel Hoefenmayer. I know nothing about Noel. Anyone know anything about him?
Oilers trade Noel Hoefenmayer to Canadiens for Jacob Perreault
The Montreal Canadiens acquired defenceman Noel Hoefenmayer from the Edmonton Oilers on Friday in exchange for right wing Jacob Perreault.www.sportsnet.ca
No news on Dobes yet ? Is the big guy ok ?
The Montreal Canadiens Organization Announces a Change in Net Following Injury to Dobes Dec 7
We have a personnel move to announce within the Montreal Canadiens organization, and it involves goalie Luke Cavallin.
Once again, he has been recalled by the Laval Rocket. As we reported last night, Jakub Dobes unfortunately suffered an injury against the Toronto Marlies.
Not bad.
Good chance he could be ready for the weekend.
I'm just assuming they're playing Friday ad Saturday again, so the Saturday game might be a good target.
Could probably give him the week off until that following Friday game. They play Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. After that the next game is the following Friday.
A complete player with zero weaknesses.beck is gold
