Recent wins included, they still have less than a 1% chance of making the playoffs. I’m not even asking them to “tank”.

Play. The. Kids.

Kakko should not have two full minutes less TOI than his linemates. Wright should not be almost 5 full minutes less than Cups. Evans should be getting time on the PP.

I thought this was the argument for bringing up Bylsma, that he did such a great job developing these guys in CV.

Forslund is on Amazon tonight doing the Flames/Hawks game and he's just so. damn. good. Immediate chemistry with any broadcast group and plug-and-play on any team in the league without sounding like a goober reading off a press sheet. I'm bracing myself that he may not be with KHN much longer, someone is gonna offer him an absolute bag to start doing national stuff full-time.
I was really enjoying the Fitz/JT dynamic during the last game too. Olczyk is the only one that’s hard for me to listen to. I like him as a person and player but not when he’s either calling out when the opposing team has too many men, Kraken need a guy in front of the net, or the refs missed another call and the INJUSTICE of that!

You begin to predict what he’s about to say. And then it becomes a drinking game.

Not the most beloved guy here but I think he's right when talking about the Kraken.
Though, maybe forgetting Berkly Catton and him poentially becoming a difference maker.

Buying out Grubauer after the season amounts to a $1.68m cap hit over the next 4 seasons.

Gotta think that’s Plan A over “sweeteners” or “retention” in any trade.

Easily the best option.

Also congrats to Borgen, but my god if that's what he wanted from us I'm glad we got rid of him. Nothing against him and I liked him a lot but that's a ton of money AND a NTC?

Borgen was good for us until this Fall. I was saying he looked like he could be a #4 type D, and the going rate for that now is about $4m per. Seems right to me.

I think my surprise is more about the term. Good for him though. Got his payday. That’s over 20 million over five years to do something you love.
Yeah I can see that. The term is admittedly longer than I’d probably like. Even at that number he’d still be the 5th highest paid Kraken D, though, and M-NTC are handed out like candy nowadays. Hell, Tanev has one ffs.
