Prospect Info: 2024-25 Kings Prospects in CHL/College/Europe

Torpedo Gorsky won Game 7 2-1 in OT.

Kirill Kirsanov advances to round 2 in the VHL. We won't know who they're going to be playing until tomorrow, as the No 2 and No 15 seed are tied in their series 3-3.

What's really funny in the VHL is the 1st, 3rd, and 4th seeds already lost to the 16th, 14th, and 13th seeds respectively.

So (assuming it's straight re-seeding) if the No. 2 seed wins, Torpedo would play the 8th seed (Chelmet Chelyabinsk).

If the No 15 seed wins, Torpedo would play the No 14 seed (SKA Neva St. Petersburg).

Keep in mind Torpedo entered the playoffs as the 7th seed who just beat the 10th seed.

Liam Greentree and Windsor take on the Kitchener Rangers in round 2.

Jared Woolley and the London Knights take on the Erie Otters.

Looks like Kirsanov's contract doesn't end until May 31.

So even if his VHL team gets eliminated next round, he likely won't play in North America this season, barring an extremely deep run.

So the other Jack Hughes gets a goal and an assist to help send Boston U to Finals against Hampton Slukynsky and Western Michigan...are the Kings rethinking signing him now?

Do the Kings sign Jared Wright to go into next year? Or does he finish out college and go for another run in his senior year?

Personally I'd advise him to stay as a another year does him a World of good...turning Pro now sets him up as a 4th liner in the AHL at best or an an ECHL player at worst...not an inviting scenario

I don't see why it would. I'd say best case at this point is Hughes signs an AHL deal to stay in the org and provide depth to either the Reign or Greenville. He's had a decent run recently but I still don't think there is much upside there. He's just another undersized, energy forward at this point and those are a dime a dozen.

Kirsanov should stay in Russia and become a regular there instead of Cannon Fodder in Ontario...and maybe 2-3 years an NHL regular possibly

The thing with Hughes is he's still young and not 24 and he uses his brain...if the Kings keep kicking Draft picks and Prospects to the curb they will be left with "nothing" to try to develop...LA's problem this year is all the all the hill,never-will-be's on the Farm...can't take that approach when trying to develop young talent they have to have an avenue there...
