2024-25 General Dallas Stars Talk

I can tell you they like Hemming a lot. And think a lot of him.

Don't think he's an option for next year but down the road (26-27') for sure.

I can also tell you they will move guys for picks, don't think it'll be for a young player. But things change on the daily so what I'm being told now could/will change.
It's also impossible to talk about the summer until seeing what happens in the playoffs.

12 goals (unsure of assist/pts) in 31 GP, mid January

Ya it’s definitely more like 3 months.

I feel like I’m the only guy left here who’s not a Benn hater these days lmao.
I thought Benn had a great season last year. Not so much this season. Just seems like a passenger most games. Although I did think he played well last night

Yeah I was joking. I hope Benn retires a Star

5.3 million

1 million - Bourque
1 million - Lundqvist
1 million - Benn

Blumel/Hyry at 850k..

Something like that. If they want Duchene around then you need to move Dumba.
Bourque and Lundkvist both should get more than $1m. So at $1.3m each, we are literally at the cap ceiling at only 12 / 7 / 3. Can't even afford a 13th scratch forward. If you ditch Dumba at 100%, then you can give Duchene another $3m deal but that's about it. I just don't see him taking $3m when a team out there will give him a multi year deal after a PPG season

Losing Granlund, Duchene, and Dadanov and replacing them with league minimum players somehow improves this team? I think the trade was a mistake in that if we can't win now with this stacked team, how can we in the future? The team isn't getting any better with prospects or FA's.

Rantanen is like Anthony Davis - great as the second best forward on your team, but without LeBron (MacKinnon) he's just a good player.

How had Kyrou been playing? Would be fun to see a call up for the 2 game road trip.

Really hope Harley and esa are rested. Play Smith, Kyrou and Petrovic.

At forward give each of the Top 9 1 game off and anyone banged up give all 3 games off.

No care about the results

Once Seguin is gone and you get another year at the higher cap increase it gets better though, but yeah next year is tough.

Harley should rest the next 2 games and play the last. Lindell should rest the last 2 games. Bicshel should get 20+ minutes in these games that mean nothing. Anything else is malpractice.

Harley and Lindell deserve the rest, but it also means I absolutely will not be tuning in to those games live. Hard enough to watch lately as is.

I'll be right there suffering through the game, because damn it I've made it this far not about to quit at the finish line

What do you think the odds are that the Stars win the cup this year? Even for you, I would think it'd have to be a non-zero number, no matter how low.

With Heiskanen completely healthy 15-20%

Current maybe 4-6% that's probably a bit generous

Kyrou from the looks of it is not NHL quality. And he's been eating nachos in the press box for a while which isn't a great sign.

Hmm, those are better than I would've guessed, especially with Miro.

Hopefully Miro comes back in time for us to beat the Avs. As positive as I may come off, I don't like our chances without him against the Avs.

My dream use for Miro is zero PP time, very limited second pair PK time, and heavy five on five usage being almost double shifted. Alleviate the breakout issue by getting Miro out there every other third pair shift, but eliminate his speciality teams use to focus him entirely on 5v5.

I'm a non-native English speaker so can someone clarify what Robertson is saying here. I can't really tell because of all the backroung noise. The part about Rantanen starts at 02:24.
He does things that suprises you out there, little nifty plays, cut backs, little inside passes..things you wouldn't really expect from a normal ??? making plays out there.

The captions say he calls Mikko a normal guy so I assume that is correct. Is he complimenting Mikko about his plays but at the same time calling him average? lol

Robertson isn’t the best interview in the world. He didn’t say anything out of the ordinary. Pretty typical interview.
