JRob getting moved and Hintz staying would be dumb. JRob and Hintz were both invisible against Vegas two years ago, but JRob actually showed up last year while Hintz wasn’t injured and produced nothing. I’m not saying Hintz should be moved, but it’s a weird choice if you are trying to win a cup to stick with the guy who has yet to show he has that next gear.
Everyone else has trade protection.IF anyone is moved, it'll be JRob...
There's a reason why that wasn't part of his last contract...Everyone else has trade protection.
Thought RFAs couldn't have nmc or ntc? There's a reason why that wasn't part of his last contract...
Plus, he will get the best return of anyone on our roster, outside of Miro, who isn't going anywhere.
Maybe...but I'm positive Hintz got one and he was an RFA when he signed his new contract. I could be wrong.Thought RFAs couldn't have nmc or ntc?
Maybe it's ELCs, I don't know. It's difficult to find info on this stuffMaybe...but I'm positive Hintz got one and he was an RFA when he signed his new contract. I could be wrong.
It's age based the same way UFA status is. You can't apply trade protection until you're into what would be a guy's UFA years. This is why the first year of Hintz's extension had no protection, but it did kick in for his age 27+ seasons. Miro's trade protection starts next season.Maybe...but I'm positive Hintz got one and he was an RFA when he signed his new contract. I could be wrong.
Thats a fair argument. I think theres an argument, too, that Minnesota and Seattle were “average” playoff teams, while Vegas is a team you will eventually run into if you want to go all the way. This is really an argument coming less about a need to move from Hintz, but instead recognizing that they may have a tough decision to make coming up. I also recognize that there are players that seem to always disappear in the playoffs, and the ability to show up the way Hintz has is still an insanely valuable thing for any team.Hintz would have a Conn Smythe if Stars don’t shit the bed against Vegas in 2023.

Saving it for the playoffs. And still winning games. Can we get a bet for if the Stars will put forth effort for 10minutes in a game the rest of the regular season?
They’re racking up points but it still feels like they aren’t there yet. They aren’t exactly dominating as a line, and are just capitalizing on whatever chances they do get.I havent watched last two games but from the highlights it looks like there start to be hints of chemistry from the top line. Is it real or just outside of that they are still 3 stickmans with 10 fps?
