2024-25 General Dallas Stars Talk

Here's what we learned from Per Pete DeBoer this afternoon from his weekly show on the Ticket:
- Miro went right from the Vegas flight to his MRI yesterday and today flew to NYC to get a second opinion. DeBoer hasn't talked to Miro since the Vegas flight landed.
- The debate is the extent of the surgery he'll need. The range is 8-12 weeks for one surgery or more like six months for another.
- He's hoping Miro will be back before the end of the season.
- He still can't properly pronounce Heiskanen. The Ontario accent is undefeated.
- Says he's thinking about the playoffs and said Bichsel fits the category of being big and physical. Hopes Bichsel will be a big part of their playoff run.

Here’s hoping for the 8-12 week route or else we’re f***ed.

Weight Internet rumours to how you want but iread this on socials..

Some person commented on a post saying their partner works at the physio and they work with the Stars alot. They think it's a low grade MCL tear and think it's an 8 to 12 weeks recovery from a surgery. Does stack up with the post above about a 2nd opinion needed to confirm if surgery is needed or a different one which is a long term surgery required

So he's not out of the woods, still could be out for the season. but if it's the initial diagnosis he's likely out till start of playoffs best case scenario

I blocked the clown years ago. He’s a creep.
He's the most online Stars PR guy. This leads to him too often tweeting to address what Stars fans are griping about but doing so in a way that comes across as either condescending or antagonistic.

I point to his recent spiking the football about how fans should apologize to Spott because the PP got hot for two weeks.

Bruce reminds me of the bankruptcy years where the team media had to sell that Steve Ott on the 2nd line was a good thing.

If Miro is out through the playoffs (or at least the rest of the regular season) I am so curious to see how Nill handles this year's trade deadline.

Karlsson went from "oh wouldn't that be cool" to a dire need to save the season

Imo Seth Jones is more realistic

Idk tho, we had interest in Karlsson at one point so why not now

I don't think Nill acquires anyone with term tbh in the end

I think the worse the news is on Heiskanen, the less likely Nill is to do anything significant. If Miro isn't back for the playoffs, I don't think he will want to go big at the deadline.

And, hey, I get it to a point. We're talking people whose jobs depend on fans tuning in, so they need to always sell hope. If he wants to point out the PP showing signs of life, great! Be excited, but trying to dunk on fans is a bad look.
