Good to hear it's week-to-week though, at least for now. Definitely could've been worse but this team is notorious for downplaying stuff I feel like so we will see

As long as he’s healthy by playoff time and we get playoff Miro than I’m happy. We should be able to get through the regular season without him, especially if Nill trades for a few players.

Agree all that matters is he’s ready for the playoffs even without miro this is still a playoff team and can’t see them falling out of it without him. Would have been nice to get the 1st seed but that’s probably unlikely until we figure out when miro is back.

We don't have anyone on LTIR right now.
Seguin and Lundkvist (who we have no details on) are on IR. I imagine Heiskanen will land there soon too.

Correct. Nill won't put Seguin on LTIR until he needs to. This also probably relates to the decision to focus only on making deadline day moves and acquiring only expiring contracts.

Thanks for the responses guys. Makes sense. I was just trying to find a silver lining outside of it not being a complete ACL/MCL tear.
Unsure what to make of the outcome.
I'm guessing that getting a 2nd opinion or seeing a specialist is the norm, but likely due to having some concern there.
Assuming the current outlook is no surgery required but maybe needing some swelling to go down before a confirmed plan.
Just hope for Miros sake no surgery needed and he can just heal.

Don’t read too much into the silence. I’m not sure when the Stars got in yesterday… maybe 5 am or later, but it wasn’t going to be a great day to get much medical work done, especially with today also being a day off. On top of that, the Stars don’t exactly have reporters in the facility every day to pester the team. We’ll know when the team puts out a release.

And like regular IR, you can set the start date for LTIR back retroactively. Nill can flip the switch and get all of Seguin's time missed converted from on the books IR to somewhat off the books LTIR.
It's one of those wrinkles Stars fans haven't had to think about because the team's use of LTIR has mostly been full season from guys like Bishop being unable to go. Hanzal's days of trying to play and then going back on LTIR were long ago.
