Dumba, high pick or two, decent prospect for Jones
Somehow there's a way to make that a win-win, help them fill out space for the position and require less salary retention while putting picks into their hands

I have no concept of what an underpayment or overpayment would be for an overhyped RHD that needs new scenery for a better overhyped RHD that needs new scenery and is expensive.

but I could see it being ~advantageous for both teams balancing the scales with picks and retention .. obviously not a gm and am biased

Change My Mind

Pretty easy to sell Dumba to Chicago. He'd be the greatest tank commander of all time if he played ~20 minutes per game against elite opposition. Just imagine...

0 accidental wins per 60

Knowing the way the world works, Dumba would turn into a #1 Dman and Jones would look worse than Dumba lol
I have a feeling Jones will play much better on a team actually trying to win. I can't imagine he has much motivation now with a guaranteed contract, NMC, on a shit team who won't even compete for a playoff spot while he's under contract. But who knows

Another way to look at this... maybe part of the reason he's never on a good team is because he's on the team.

man i like Kyle Dubas but he's done a horrific job in Pittsburgh
Tbh it feels like management told him they need to compete till Crosby retires. Like how Detroit told Holland to keep going for playoffs when they needed to rebuild.
