I wonder if he pairs with Esa or Miro at 4 nations and plays well...if it's something Nill notices.

Agree with your view. Just think the Stars need more size and physicality for the playoffs. So I think the additions could have that trait about them.
Agreed but I think we can acquire someone better than Risto.

If I'm Klingberg and Colorado or Edmonton are on the table, I'm taking one of those 2 teams. Easy to pump up his point totals there and then sign somewhere else this offseason

He's obviously not beating Makar for PP1 though. Probably not Bouchard either in EDM but with the way Colorado plays he'd benefit a lot from it

I hope he can do that then get a deal to make some of the money he missed out on. Also he was always one of my favorites so it would be neat to have him back. ;)

The Stars quarter century team is being revealed today. If I had to guess

First Team
Benn-Seguin-Modano
Zubov-Miro
Turco

Second Team
Lethinen-Hintz-Robo
Daley-Klingberg
Belfour

It probably will go to Kari or even Bishop for the second team, but out of respect I’m giving it to Eddie.

I think at this point Esa has eclipsed Daley and i'm not sure it's even close . Closing in on games played with the Stars and played alot more playoff games for the Stars than Daley ever did.

Yeah I agree with you. I had a feeling I was missing someone on my list lol.

Lehtonen really should've been on that 2nd over Belfour, otherwise those are all the picks I would've made as well.
Is the criteria supposed to be on longevity with the team?

Lehtonen had some years where he kept horrendous teams from completely bottoming out, but he also stopped some decent teams from being good too. I would never put him above belfour for contributions to the team overall even if it's only supposed to be 2000-25

At this point the player you'd have to put in at #2 if you don't want to go with Eddie would have to be Otter and yes over both Kari and Biship ( or Dobby who was also noticeable for the SCF run ) .

Otter in a short period of time already hade more success here than anybody but Belfour and yes that includes Marty who only ever played in one Conference finals.

hello guys, caps fan here. i'm curious about your thoughts on Blumel. was able to catch a few AHL games and he was doing really great, can definitely rip the puck. reading your forum, he seem to be barely mentioned though. hype was bigger back in days. just one of many guys out there? he's on third line tonight (due to injuries i guess) so maybe a good opportunity for me to take a look on him at NHL level.

Lindell is good and all, but I would definitely put Hatcher before him. Methinks recency bias is playing a part in the selections.

This is only from 2000 onward. Hatcher had 3.5 seasons with the team in the time period considered.
