Guy/teams been managing an injury pretty much since the start of the season. Love what he still brings to the table when he plays but at this point he will allways need his breaks due to wear and tear on his body.

That was years ago. Back when the Stars were pushing too many guys to get hip surgeries. They had Seguin, Benn, Nichushkin, Klingberg, and others all do it within a couple of seasons of each other. Seems like some junk science they've since abandoned.

Seguin had one in 2020 after the finals because he had his labrum torn in his hip. Not sure about another one before that.

Yes, femoroacetabular impingement. Which is a repetitive use injury. These guys squat and work with their hips so much its almost expected they're going to have weird hip problems forever.
