I know Cozens has been discussed here before, but if Buffalo continues to tail spin, I wonder about Quinn or Peterka. Quinn's injury history has clearly affected his development path but the potential for a scoring winger is still there and he's young. Peterka would be a much bigger get and that offense would be appreciated. He'd probably want a good sized contract but I don't have an issue giving players money who earn it.

We need established top 6 forwards. Quinn doesn't fit that, and JJ is probably a pipedream. Not sure why they would trade a 22 year old like him.

I don’t even necessarily think EP40 is a fit, I just got to thinking - what would a potential package from Anaheim look like?
Probably 1 of our top 3 kid centers plus our 1st. Maybe a 3rd piece of 1 of our 3 LD prospects? More then I'd want to give up for a guy who supposedly struggles in tough love environments.

Id look to get at least one of Peterson, Dobson, and Cozens, if they really are available. Unfortunately, some one of them will likely get moved for each other.

Trading chips I’d be willing to give up are McT , Zell, Z, and conditional 25 1st

Vancouver would probably want Terry, Mctavish, one of Minty/Zell/Lacombe, and a pick. i just don't think any deal would be good for us in the long run
IMO that would be a fleece job by us if that's all it took, Pettersson would be the first 100 pt player we've had since Kariya and Teemu and is a young player on a contract with term, those don't fall in your lap every day. But it's unlikely Vancouver moves him and if they did they'd be looking at a similar superstar caliber player which we currently don't have right now.

We traded for Cogliano, I think you mean Marchant?

"Young player that has yet to live up to his offensive potential, but has actually shown a pretty strong defensive knack."

That was Coglianos scouting report when we acquired him from Edmonton.

He then became a borderline elite checking line winger with us.

That’d be franchise destroying. It’ would eviscerate our depth, and Pettersen appears to be a 30-35 goal ~PPGplayer with a 100 point outlier season.

I’m not a fan of pettersen as a fit…. Nor am I a fan of paying what he’d cost in assets.

It’s 1 thing to get that type of player in free agency…. But trading away our future for a guy that isn’t even a lock is sketchy.

I’d open the cupboards for Brady tkachuk and that’s about it…. Outside of that is look for change of scenery/buy low guys like cozens.

I'm fine with trading our 1st this year for someone but we shouldnt gut our key youth to bring in someone until we know which ones of them are going to step up and be "the guy" for us.

Cozens would be good but his $7.1m contract until 2030 doesnt look good.

Ya really just depends if our pro scouts think he can be a consitent 60+ point player in his prime.

I'd give up a lot to get Tage Thompson, but I would be surprised if he's on the block.

I would love for us to do this
