The fact that Vegas is willing to let him go is a bit frightening.
They almost assuredly aren't. He's also got a full NMC. None of the insiders have said anything on it. Jamie Mclennan is the only person that has said anything about it.

That’s what convinced me it was probably gonna happen when Friedman predicted it this morning. On the surface doesn’t fit but it’s such a bad guess that it must be an informed one. That fit just makes no sense to me. They have 4 RD already and have very little cap space. I guess they must plan on trading someone.
Eh. McCrimmon is still just throwing shit around the walls to see what sticks. Probably still trying to get Marner. I actually think Petro in Anaheim is a solid fit. We have the cap space for now, he's not going to be good enough to be the main anchor of a cup contender but he can definitely bolster a team like ours if the plan is to start getting back to the playoffs. Plus, he could keep his kid in Vegas if he wanted to. Not a far drive/flight to get back here. The fact that Vegas is willing to let him go is a bit frightening.
Same here. He's nowhere close to the Karlsson heir apparent Sens fans played him up to be.Absolutely 0 interest in Chabot anyways lol no loss there, would be sweet to sign someone though
9m I believeJust out of curiosity, how far are we from the cap floor for next season?
And people were complaining about the Lindholm deal not aging well...
Tax Breaks.. Thats why we here in CA dont get the big names muchI know Nashville has a lot of cap space, but how can they afford Stamkos, Marchessault, Stephenson, Skjei, and Carrier?
I don't think they can?I know Nashville has a lot of cap space, but how can they afford Stamkos, Marchessault, Stephenson, Skjei, and Carrier?
There’s still a salary cap to adhere to. Stamkos at $8M leaves around $18M left for themTax Breaks.. Thats why we here in CA dont get the big names much
$22 million for all those guys (which is just a guess, but possible if they give Stamkos and March more term), would still leave them $4 million below the cap with only a backup goalie and a 7th d-man to sign. So they could even go up to $24 million probably.I know Nashville has a lot of cap space, but how can they afford Stamkos, Marchessault, Stephenson, Skjei, and Carrier?
I am so curious to see what kind of contract they are giving him. Probably similar to Killorn's deal.
