He also makes over 7 mill and is in pace for something like 30 pts. Our offense is already terrible and he does t play for a bad offensive team.
Depends on cost…. We need forward help…. He plays a style that would be a good fit. And has shown he can score at the nhl lvl.

What's realistic? They probably view him much like we do Z. Are you willing to pay what we'd want for Z to find if the issues with Cozins are either him or Buffalo? I'd rather try am target surer thing and not a project

I mean rangers fans felt similar about kakko and he didn’t exactly go for much…. Obviously a circumstance changed.

But I’d at least kick tires…

Not exactly a ton of sure things available with control for us…. Which I’d say control is important for us because we can’t really get free agents to sign here.

Is there a player in the league that would be a fair trade for our unprotected 1st without too much in the way of adds on either side?

And if he turns out to just be a 7.1 mill 36 pt player? I just don't see the point of the Gamble. We need help. I'd rather not waste time, energy, assets and money on the low chance that Cozens might figure it out away from Buffalo.

Well that’s for our pro scouts to assess, I don’t think he’s actually a 36 point player based off all my viewings.

He’s figured it out in Buffalo tho, this season is kinda the outlier.

Honestly, no idea. I'm not really offering better answers. I just don't see him as a solution either. I'm not opposed to an older player. We have enough youth.
I think we all agree we need another forward.

Finding the ideal target might be tough…. If guys like tage/Brady we’re available…. They’d be obvious targets but the cost also going to hurt.

For me I see cozens game in the Brady type(lesser version)… which is a skill set I’d love to add, assuming the value dictates the risk of taking a 7 mil player that is underperforming this year.

Would you do a Zegras/Cozens change of scenery swap ?

At least we had HM for Cutter, but I wish Verbeek took more shots like the Sharks and Blackhawks have. Walman + 2nd vs Dumoulin - 3rd, PLD for Gibson, etc.

I was thinking about that too. Same draft year and situation. Cozens has more of the playing style that Verbeek wants, but his contract is a bit risky.
