i dont really get the desire for Pinto. had 35 points last season in 82 games and a -21, and 27 points in 41 games this season. not exactly a world beater. not much of an improvement

35 point to 54 point pace isn't an improvement?

I'm not sure how I feel about not signing any UFAs...

Positives:
+ Brought back some RFAs below QO price.
+ Didn't overpay for anybody.
+ More spots for young guys.

Negatives:
- Didn't get better on paper.
- Corey Perry still plays for another team.

Gut feeling is that there's gonna be a Rico reunion, given he's still on the board after today (which surprises me with the way the market's broken and it's probably his last chance to get the big bag).

I'd be happy with a cap dump from another team with 1-2 year term. I don't need a big crazy trade.

I dont need a big trade... but cap casualties type moves weve seen in years past for solid players would be cool.

I dont expect to be great this year... but id like to give the young players a bit more support this year... and hope they continue to get better.
