I hope they get top 8 clinched after 5 matches so they can go full youth squad in January. They have 2 Europa matches the week after Arsenal and they need 100% focus on that match and not worry about Europe.

A first Chelsea goal for Renato Veiga, the 21 year old who looks like a 42 year old. Good movement from Mudryk to get space to cross, and Veiga floated in unmarked at the back post to dink it in across the keeper.

Veiga is such a chelsea vibes player man

I hope Ten Hag stays forever.

He fell asleep on the Gent goal

There is nothing more amazing but seeing Bruno get a red, call reversed afterwards, and then get another red in back to back games. This team is a gift that keeps on giving. Not only that, but allowing Omorodion out of all players to destroy you. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Hoffenheim lead 1-0 at HT, Hlozek with an easy close range tap-in after Kyiv players couldn't prevent ball reaching him. I'm still not used to seeing Stach play CB.

Hlozek picks up another to ice it for his third goal of the week.

Meanwhile Wanner came on after an hour to score the winner for Heidenheim.

Pathetic defending yet again. Lucky to be 0-2 up after gifts by Costa. Rashford was lazy for Porto's first not tracking Joao Mario. Martinez slow to react.

Porto's second came from a Joao Mario cross. Rashford subbed at ht. While he looked decent going forward his defending was poor, ten Hag said it was due to rotation.

Casemiro didn't track Gonzalez in CM then Mazraoui played Pepe onside for the third. Two nice finishes by Omorodion getting the better of de Ligt twice.

Bruno 2 in 2 (red cards). Yipes.

Is he the worst long-term (more than one season) captain in United's history?

Nobody probably knows much about pre-WWII captains, and I'm familiar with captains starting with Bryan Robson, and and I would be inclined to say yes.

Bruno is a good player, but not really suitable for a captain's role.

Wanner missed his PK, but was able to score from the rebound. Good night all around for German teams.

Mudryk had a good match, but he needs to be able to do the same against better opponents in the PL too.

At least Chelsea matches are much more exciting to watch than during several previous managers. I'm sure Maresca would eventually want to concede less goals, but I'd rather watch these type of scorelines than aiming for 1-0 wins by his predecessors.

Just watched the United game. Can't say I'm surprised. It's basically their standard MO. Once *anything* in a game goes against them, they fold like a cheap tent for the next 5-10 minutes.

The second yellow was a bit weak since he didn't actually touch the player, but if you're already on a yellow you gotta be smarter than sticking your foot up high like that and giving the other player a chance to con the ref into giving it.

It’s impressive how ETH has a knack for getting players right after they’ve already peaked.

Casemiro, De Ligt, Antony, the list goes on.
