  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

That's Malick Fofana you're talking about? 😂😂😂😂
No idea, not bothering to learn his name as he won't go far with that size/attitude combo.

Any idea why Clinton Mata was used as a center back with Caleta-Car on the bench? He looked like a fish out of water there. Also Cherki was really, really good, and he looked fitter than I've ever seen him before.

Haha, well you'd better learn a thing or two about him because you'll hear a lot from him. He's a very bright young talent known everywhere in Europe. 25M on transfermarkt at age 19.

Caleta-Car sucks and he is only starting when they can't do otherwise.

Cherki has been amazing this year.

Meh, for every Barcola and Bruno Guimaraes in the last ten years I remember similarly highly rated Lyon youngsters in Aouar, Toussard, Moussa Dembele, Reine-Adelaide, Tete, Lepenant etc who didn't amount to what they were promised to.

Dani Vivian out injured for Bilbao, big loss. This is a game between two teams I strongly dislike, but I'm going to support the Basques for the European coefficient.

FCSB (aka Steaua Bucharest) make it 1-1 at home against Lyon. This is a team missing its two highest rated players but are giving Lyon a tough time. It's also the representative of the lowest ranked league still in European competitions, and the owner is the one who decides its starting 11 and substitutions lol. If Lyon get eliminated by them they'll be reaching a new low.
Why did they change the name?

Really? Martinez was hurt just a couple weeks ago
Was this a joke about Licha’s height?

Sannadi ain't it for Bilbao, hope they bring on Guruzeta in the second half.

Inaki Williams puts Bilbao ahead from a header just after half time, deservedly so I'd say. Roma's left defensive flank with Ndicka and Angelino has been leaky, to put it mildly.

Angelino makes up for his defensive play by scoring one with his weak foot to tie it.

Complete aside from the on field action, I really don't like this Cercle Brugge badge. Why ddi they change it?

Now Bilbao loses their second starting center back, as Yeray gets a second yellow. The EL final this year is on San Mames but this double is now uphill for them.

Bodø/Glimt up 3-0 now at home against Olympiakos.

The greek team didn't look prepared for the norwegian winter. It might only be +2 degree, but the wind in Bodø makes it feel like -6 degree celsius.
The Bodø/glimt players used long sleeves and extra warm underwear, the greeks showed up in short sleeves without warming underwear. Olympiakos coach wore a thin suit while the Bodø coach wore a thick jacket.

3-0 is good from the first game, a decent chanche for quarterfinal now for Bodø.

I love Bodø/Glimt! Habs and Glimt, I love you....

Couldn't watch this match at Aspmyra though, a bit sad for that.

Plzeň crushed after proving up to the task of Lazio, cruising to a 1-1 draw, then Lazio got two red cards, only to score within 9 men in the 90+8 minute

The board wanted something modern and dynamic

But yeah everybody laughed at them when they released it. Including their own fans lol
Boards keep going for the modern change. I can't think of one that has actually turned out good and had fans happy.

Cherki has more assists in Europa League than anyone in the last 20 years.

And he still has a minimum of 2 games to play and a maximum of 5.
