2024-25 EPL Season

Right but of course that would also require a Time Machine to put the two against each other. But hey if there is a rare occurrence like that in the same season, do the one off.
Yeah, no, of course. Which is why I am happy to admit it means nothing. It's just crazy to me that over 38 games, two seasons could end up being so identical. And the fact that Arsenal-Liverpool drew both games 2-2 this season just adds to it.

This years team also had 82 points with 4 weeks left and then has basically stopped showing up.

I think if Arsenal had kept up pressure on them longer, they would have easily got to 90+ this year.
Saw this yesterday. From an Arsenal guy who didn’t make the point that he thought he was making

But yeah; this team was pacing for over 90 points when it stopped caring. The data is good but he did a lousy job of interpreting it to try and justify Arteta logic.

But my favorite part of this is that the 19-20 LFC team was pacing for 105 points, which is bananas

Rice and Munoz are both excellent players, but it does feel like they're both getting recency points for performances in competitions other than the PL, LOL.

Saka - Isak - Salah
Gravenberch - Guimaraes - Caicedo
Kerkez - Milenkovic - VvD - Aina
Sels

Saka was so absolutely brilliant when he played this season that I truly do not care that he only played 24 games.

This will somehow start another Arsenal/Liverpool debate without me meaning it to... but I found it incredibly funny that Carragher's TOTS had Alisson in it (27 games played), but he said he left out Gabriel for not playing enough games (28 games played).

So are both over Bruno Fernandes and Tielemans
I don't think Bruno deserves to be on a TOTY this season. He was very good no doubt, and certainly his numbers would have been better if United wasn't a tire fire on the front 3, but he wasn't his usual elite self.

He also usually plays further up the pitch than Rice, Caicedo, and Tielemans so it would feel odd to remove them for him. I'd support him in the team over MacAllister and Tonali though.

Not from me. For me it’s both of them or neither of them. And both of them certainly deserve to be their on merit. I’d look at number of minutes instead of number of games; especially for outfield players. I will say think the person with the lowest number of minutes on my version is probably right around 2500 minutes; which kind of feels fair as a round number; and Gabriel is just over 2300 so I didn’t pick him because of that, but I didn’t have Alisson either

Easily been one of the most interesting years in English Football. You’ve got Spurs, Newcastle and Palace winning trophies, the Wrexham story and a 3 point difference between 3rd and 7th going into the last match day of the PL. Hell of a year.

Chelsea conceded 43 goals this season. 20 goals conceded less than last season.

Improvement on the defense.

The third best defense this season in the Premier League.

Thierry Henry: “Manchester United have played in five finals in the last five years. The United that everyone laughs at... Whereas for Arsenal in the last three years of building, they’ve not reached a final.”.
