2024-25 EPL Season

But this time its different! United has obviously earned the benefit of doubt.
And it may be different! But this is like the 10th time some youth product has been anointed and they tend to end up disappointing. Even Mainoo hasn't exactly filled the role on the field people thought he would this season.

I guess the difference is that this time Arsenal created the youth player, but even then, Heaven wasn't talked about as a top Hale End product. Probably not even top 2 when it comes to CBs, tbh.

Here's an idea for off-season "game". We could do an "In Your Shoes" kind of thing, where someone does a realistic summer window plan (manager/transfers/extension/etc.) but NOT for the team that they support; and can see who has the best "Plan" judged by supporters of that team. Might be a good way to kill a couple of weeks. Would prefer that than the usual downtime flaming activities.

This season was pretty terrible... I mean... I watched but really started fading interest. Not sure the title being wrapped up early and bottom-three stunk the place up... or.... or if was the blatant time wasting penalty hunting dive fest modern football finds itself in. Blatant bad calls, missed calls, no calls and just an awful stench of rigged games.

Penalties really need to be taken out of the game. Or at least not given away so cheaply and fail to punish them for diving all over the place - making a mockery of the game. It is really killing the game. (for me).
You CAN NOT give a free spot kick for a foul in the corner of the touch box with no chance at a shot on goal. The rules are broken at this current moment and need serious fixing.

Watched the PL more than others this season and can say, that will not be the case next year. Switching to lower leagues or other leagues.

The Italian league is pretty fun, and anybody can mostly beat anybody else on any given match

It's kinda interesting how the league has broken down this year.

Liverpool way in front, Arsenal clearly second.

Then you've got 5 teams within 2 points of each other fighting for 3 CL spots with the 4th getting Europa and the 5th getting conference.

Then you've got 5 teams fighting for 3 top half spots.

Then 5 teams basically just seeing out the season.

Then 3 relegation teams.
