That's the third-choice keeperWhatever. It’s a backup keeper who will be on the bench again as soon as Vicario (who was also the best thing since sliced bread this time last year) is healthy.
I know they say the backup keeper is the most popular guy on the team, but….wow
Who has it better than Scott Carson? That's the third-choice keeper
This is literally the exact same stupid shit as when the exact same set of posters were claiming that Spurs fans were talking about winning titles after a few games last season. Anytime a Spurs fan is mildly excited about anything positive related to their team, the same cluster of boneheads invent a fantasy phantom Spurs fan who is planning the f***ing parade or who is calling Antonin Kinsky the second coming of Buffon. At a certain point, why do the rest of us continue to pay mind to people who box with shadows? Maybe that's on us.
Marcus Bettinelli is apparently the glue that holds Chelsea togetherWho has it better than Scott Carson?
Nah, I do deep down enjoy the chatsThe ignore feature works very well for this kind of situation.
If one bad game is enough to make a goalkeeper Karius 2.0, I assume you'd agree Kelleher is the same after Newcastle?Don’t get butt hurt if people are going to call out one bad game, if yall are going to go over the top praising one good game

No I wouldn’t. This is clearly not the same. Kelleher has a larger sample size, multiple trophies that he was in the net for, and credibility at international level. One bad game in 20 is not as severe as One bad game in 3.If one bad game is enough to make a goalkeeper Karius 2.0, I assume you'd agree Kelleher is the same after Newcastle?
I think there are a lot of embarrassing posts on here.No one was over the top.
You’re pretty embarrassing sometimes
I don't agree with the Kinsky being bad after one game take, but Spurs fans were more than "mildly excited" just 8-10 weeks into last season. They weren't outright saying "we're gunna win titles" but they were doing some coy "oh dare I say it, we might be title contenders" talk.
Recall one poster in particular saying something along the lines of "I'm not saying we're going to win the title, but... could we?" but idk if the search functionality is helping me here. Other Spurs fans (like yourself) were definitely more measured, but "mildly excited" is downplaying it.Any examples? I know for sure that I have not said that myself. At most I was hopeful for Champions League the season after.
That was me and it was clearly in jest. If you thought otherwise, I would seriously question your intelligence and reading comprehension levels.Recall one poster in particular saying something along the lines of "I'm not saying we're going to win the title, but... could we?" but idk if the search functionality is helping me here. Edit: And for the record, I don't think it was wrong to be excited about your team. I think I just made the point at the time that it was hypocritical that nobody else seemed to react to Spurs fans excitement, but Arsenal fans get laughed at for being excited about our team because we didn't end up winning the title.

I mean it's a fairly common phrase when jokingly getting excited about a team. I don't think any of us realistically would have considered Spurs title contenders. So yes, I question your intelligence and reading comprehension levels. I wonder why some people take shots at Assna fans when it includes you..."If you can't understand my tone from written text on a hockey message board, I would question your intelligence and reading comprehension"
Gee I wonder why some people may take shots at Spurs fans when it includes you...
I still have hope that once we get some players back, and if the club actually backs him with some reinforcements, we can be a good side.In all honesty, I think the last time I was genuinely excited about Spurs was when they made the CL final. Since then there have been enough ups and downs to create a certain amount of cynicism in any rational Spurs fan. A lot of fans were excited with style of play that Postecoglu brought, and that shouldn’t be hard to understand. That doesn’t mean that people were planning the parade at any time. At the same time there has always been some doubt that his inflexible approach would lead to long term success. And I would say that doubt is trending up, not down.
I agree, good side. But serious contender side seems a ways off still.I still have hope that once we get some players back, and if the club actually backs him with some reinforcements, we can be a good side.
Yeah there will need to be significant investments made that Levy and Co simply do not seem interested in making.I agree, good side. But serious contender side seems a ways off still.
You guys spent nine figures this summer, and have added in January. Don’t want to hear about lack in investments. That is fiction.Yeah there will need to be significant investments made that Levy and Co simply do not seem interested in making.
No, your understanding is incorrect. Look at the outgoings and reduction in wages. The squad quality has been reduced, and while there has been investment it has been with an eye on the future. I welcome investing in young players (Gray and Bergvall have been bright spots) but there needs to be serious investment on ready made players if we truly want to compete. Solanke was a start. He has been a good signing so far, but one premier league ready player is not going to solve the problems we faced going into the season. You guys spent nine figures this summer, and have added in January. I don’t need to lecture. The money speaks for itself. It’s pretty obvious why Tottenham buys young, and they are buying top youth so there is nothing to complain about. Just because you’ve wasted money on trash like Richarlison that you need to replace, doesn’t mean you haven’t gotten investment. That’s ridiculous. You have at least three nine figures summers in a row, also adding in January during that time. No, your understanding is incorrect. Look at the outgoings and reduction in wages. I don't think Levy/Enic care about competing as long as the brand value is maintained. They are not interested in the sporting side, only the business side. They have been wildly successful from a business perspective, but the sporting side is a total disappointment, largely due to lack of investment. Please do not try to lecture me on what you think Tottenham's investment levels are.
