Thought this was very interesting too -*every other team was a piece of shit
Last year had 2 teams over 90 scored (City and Arsenal) and 1 more over 85 (Liverpool).Fun stat: last year all the teams from 4th to 7th conceded over 60 goals. This year the whole top 6 will each likely have fewer than 50GA.
14 teams had more than 60GA last year, this year that # will likely be 7.
Looks like the bonkers high scoring of last year came down to earth a lot.
What makes it especially interesting is that goal per game this season is at 2.97, which is still extremely high relative to the historical record. It’s the second highest in the Premier League era.Last year had 2 teams over 90 scored (City and Arsenal) and 1 more over 85 (Liverpool).
This year Liverpool might be the only team over 75 and may end under 85 (at 81 with 3 left)
Yea, PL only. So Palmer's 37 would be #16 on all three of Liverpool, Arsenal, and United.Feels insane that 37 goals gets into the top 10 all time.
Edit: Oh, PL only. So at least it's just the last ~35 years, little more understandable.
This is the narrative if you take it from the Internet rather than from watching the games.Palmer started good then checked out around Jan
