Americans name Adams as head coach

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans announced they have hired B.J. Adams, as their next Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. ...

Adams joins the Americans after two seasons as the Head Coach of the Erie Otters, of the Ontario Hockey League. Prior to that, he was the Associate Coach in Erie from 2015-20. During his time with the Otters, he was a part of the OHL Championship team which reached the Memorial Cup Finals in 2017. ...

He started his coaching career in the International Hockey League, with two seasons as an assistant at Port Huron, then five seasons as an Assistant Coach at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, where he supervised a staff of six in Hockey Operations, Analytics, Video-Operations, Work-Studies, and Recruiting. ...

minor changes coming to the ECHL this upcoming season:

1st is 2 referee system is being increased from 25% to 50% of all games;

player roster now mirrors the AHL/NHL as it will be 18 skaters and 2 Goalies up from 17 and 2

And your player roster "mirror" is a bit foggy: While the AHL has a limit on dressed players (18 skaters/2 goalies), the NHL uses 18/2 as a lower limit & allows up to a 23-man active roster. The Bridgeport Islanders posted an article on this topic early in June.

for those who remember the Manchester Monarchs in their final 5 seasons of ECHL hockey after the swap of franchises..... no attempts have been made and there is no push to bring pro hockey back to SNHU Arena and all attempts by prospective ownerships and the city of Manchester have gone unheeded to the degree that any hockey exhibition outside of the NCAA Tournament are financially too great.... the arena has basically rejected any such proposals...citing finances as the main reason as to why the dissolution of the Monarchs happened in 2019.
 
2024 ECHL Mascot of the year voting underway as well as Qualifying offer window now open until the 22nd and even 2024 Kelly Cup Pucks are being auctioned

when you replaced last year's thread with the current thread otherwise, why title it 2024/2025 if the mascot/QO's are 2023/2024, then if this is a new calendar year once the Kelly Cup chase ends is when this thread was created

Two distinct topics based on seasons, no intention to replace the older thread (for history & nostalgia), if news ain't worthy of posting in its season then it an't worth posting anywhere else.
