True, can't be assigned to AHL, as he is neither 20yo by the cutoff or has accrued 4 jrs seasons. But he can do NHL camp, along with NHL or AHL exhibition games and 9 NHL games, AHL conditioning games, then World Jrs and return to OHL for CHL playoffs.Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Sennecke is AHL eligible. He can go for a conditioning stint, but I'm pretty aure his birthday means it's NHL or juniors.

I thought it was crazy they had their choice of Dickinson and buium at that pickI said this on draft night, but the Sharks having Dickinson fall into their lap is absurd.
And they got Celebrini in the same draft…
They’re going to be a wagon in 3-4 years unfortunately
I don’t see it tbh, if the goal is playoffs and the roster is alreadySennecke is going to get the Carlsson treatment I think
Probably plays 40 games in the NHL next year.
Last year's top 12 was pretty crazy how deep it was.I thought it was crazy they had their choice of Dickinson and buium at that pick
I think he gets the Luneau treatment.Sennecke is going to get the Carlsson treatment I think
Probably plays 40 games in the NHL next year.
Based on the games I watched against London he isn’t ready for the Carlsson treatment.Sennecke is going to get the Carlsson treatment I think

I would expect the club to appeal his lack of eligibility. There have been success appeals in recent years IIRC.Correct, not AHL eligible.
Who else has been granted eligibility other then Wright? And that was based heavily on Covid effecting things.I would expect the club to appeal his lack of eligibility. There have been success appeals in recent years IIRC.
Tangentially, I wonder why more prospects aren't loaned out to Swiss league. Seems like a good place in between Major Junior and Professional.
IIRC it used to be AHL-eligible for NA skaters on e they hit age 19, no?
He is a great prospect, but it can be difficult to evaluate on such a dominant team. He struggled at the WJC last year, so I will be curious to watch him at his next stop. It's still tough to see how good he really is.That's some serious high praise for Dickinson. I love his defense (which is why he was one of the prospects I wanted at #3), but he dropped because scouts didn't believe his offensive ability to be high. He put in work over the summer and he's showing he has that offense. What a find at #11 for the Sharks!

I hope they rush him into a 1st pairing and ruin his confidence and potentialDickinson is so young that he doesn't turn 19 until June! His path is gonna be a crazy one because he is too good for the CHL and will probably be bumped up to the NHL. I just hope the Sharks ease him in on the 3rd pairing and go from there. Another possibility is for the Sharks have a deal with some SHL team to loan to for a season.
It's based on birthday, not season. If he turns 20 before January 1, he's AHL eligible. If not, he has to stay in juniors. His birthday is in January, so no AHL for Sennecke next season.IIRC it used to be AHL-eligible for NA skaters on e they hit age 19, no?
I think nhl is the move for Dickinson, and find him a safe partner to pair with him.Dickinson is so young that he doesn't turn 19 until June! I say give him the 9 games over a period of a few weeks to see where he's at then send him back so he knows what he needs to work on.Sennecke is going to get the Carlsson treatment I think
Probably plays 40 games in the NHL next year.
Yep kinda unfortunate situation for us on what to do with himUnless Sennecke really stands out at training camp and earns his spot, I think he has no business playing in the NHL next season. Not sure the OHL is the right option for him either, and sadly he’s not eligible for the AHL, nor the NCAA given his ELC.
